  1. I still say go with NYUK's bike
  2. Either a joke, stolen, or somebody real hard up for money. I think he had more than 3000 dollars in the first two or three lines of mods!

Ha ha Medications do have some odd names, the med names on the first post do look about like names on actual prescription drugs that you see all the time....... till you pronounce them out! lol :yelrotflmao:
  4. I'm probably one of very few on here that runs a 24/1 ratio. I use Yamalube 2R.
  5. Well I should clarify that I don't actually ride in the dunes (man I wish!, but there aren't any close to where I live) I checked several different builders and they usually describe their ports as woods/dune/drag so I'm just looking for a basic all around application. I have another quad I use for bottom-end woods and trails, and I'm not looking to build a full on drag bike, so I figured the dune port would be the best overall porting. Your right about the pipes, and I didn't realize that the builders matched their ports to them, but I'm probably going to keep my FMF's. I'm partial to them because they were a special Christmas present to me from my wife.
  6. Thanks guys I really appreciate all the information. When I start to do this I will contact David Noss and explain what I'm doing and see if he will make the domes, and order the o-ring kit along with them. I've never had portwork done but from what I've read on here the dune port should be what I need. I usually ride in open places with my Shee. I'm probably going to go with F.A.S.T. on it. I've heard alot of good things about them. And I'll let them know about the 4 mil crank. If the stock carbs will do for now I'll probably use them at first, then as money permits get some bigger ones a little down the road. I'll also get some sealant and look into getting a fly-wheel puller. I hope I'll be able to do this on my own, and I plan to try, but if I get a little nervous about it I may look into a builder around this area. One last thing, when I order the long rods kit with the special pistons are the 795 series the ones with the pin moved up 5 mill? I heard that no case mods are required with this set-up, just wanting to make sure. Thanks again guys for all the help.
  7. Welcome to the HQ, mikebently1.
  8. Well you should be able to get some good portwork done in the 3-4 hundred range, but you may want to go with some basic bolt-on mods like pipes and filter first.
  9. Yeah pipes and filter are definitely a big improvement over stock. You'd be surprised how much of a difference they make. Maybe a coolhead and timing plate to improve your low and mid-range. And like LS1Inferno says, porting. Makes a HUGE difference
  10. Yeah I'd say something is definitely not right if you only have five gears on your Banshee......
  11. I will soon be buying one and am researching this also.I plan on getting the Hot-Rods 4 mm crank, from what I understand they are pretty good. I am currently running a Noss coolhead withe 21cc domes. I'm around sea level and that size works for pump-gas at my elevation. However, I'm going to be ordering special cut domes so I don't have to run the stroker plate. I've been told it's better not to use it if possible, and it can be avoided with the special domes. The Nosshead I use is a two piece head, and it's not hard to install, just use a little grease on the o-rings and it holds them in place for the installation. Here is a link to give you an idea about installing one. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;hl=noss+head
  12. Thanks for the input, HammerShee99. I'm trying to find out everything I can on this beforehand. I plan on a play/dune port to go along with it, should really wake things up with the motor. I've got to get my other quad payed off and then I'll have a little money to work with! It's definitely in the VERY near future!
  13. lol, Man... fetching those kinds of prices maybe I should clean out the shed..... I might have a couple grand in stock parts laying around! Yeah, that is pretty good.
  14. I'm glad to hear you got them back, man. It's also good to hear that someone did the right thing and made sure to return them. Some people out there might not have and you would have never known what happened to them.
  15. Hey guys, I should have my other quad payed off in less than a year, at which time I'm planning to do some motor mods to my Shee. I've decided to go with a +4 crank and play/dune porting, but have a few questions about what all is involved with these mods so I know what I'll be needing to do. It's a little in the future, but I want to get an idea of what I'm looking at. My current mods are: FMF Fatty's K&N with modded airbox lid. (EHS outerwears lid) Nosshead with 21cc domes The questions are: 1 Can I have the special domes made to avoid the stroker plate alltogether? 2 I know I'll need to get another o-ring kit for the Nosshead, but is there a specific gasket kit for this certain type of modding, or does one rebuild gasket kit cover pretty much everything. 3 Will my stock carbs be sufficient for this application? 4 And lastly, am I leaving anything out that is necessary for the mods I'm wanting to do? I appreciate any info being this will be my first time doing this. I tried to search related topics but It's not working at the moment. Thanks in advance for any input.
  16. Well I have seen alot of stunt riders on the 400's, they say they are wheelie machines. Buying one cash shouldn't be too much I wouldn't think. I've seen them in the paper for 2-3 k range.
  17. If you have gotten used to the power of your Shee you'll be let down by that of the 400ex. My opinion is no way, but ride the Honda first and see what you think.
  18. Yes I would say theres something else done, with just the FMF's and K&N filter on mine I could easily pull third gear wheelies, but higher gears it really took some effort. I don't think I could lift it in fifth. Like okbeast says it may have a 12t sprocket or maybe some porting done.
  19. Should be able to copy the IMG code and paste it into your post.

    Second opinion

lol That's messed up! Yeah sometimes it pays to get a second opinion, especially in that guys case!
  21. So they actually delivered it to your house and an unknown person was there and signed for it? That's messed up, any neighbors that may have seen what happened?
  22. NYUK that is a nice bike! HillClimbr I think you should put up an extra 400 bucks and go with NYUK's Banshee, looks like a much better deal..... a Shee like that would go for a higher price than 4 thousand here in Florida.
  23. They aren't to hard to install, I ordered a Nosshead and the day it came in I had her running good. I'm around sea level and I run 21cc domes with pump gas. The smaller the dome the higher the compression. If I went any smaller I'd probably be looking at a mix of fuel. A good set of pipes, aftermarket filter and correct jetting will do wonders for a stock Shee. You think it runs good now wait till you install those!
  24. lol I dont know, though.... if I ever won the lottery I might have to give them a call about that polished cub cylinder kit, that thing looks sweet!!
  25. I've seen their name advertised in Dirtwheels magazine before, but I had no idea their prices were so high. I mean come on.... a hundred bucks for a timing plate? I've gotta admit their products look good, but more money than I can afford!
