  1. Was rereading this, what's an Athena cylinder cost? What's oconner gonna charge ya for porting? I assume you would have a chunk of change in something like that? You can buy a stock stroke serval or cub for like 8-900 I think. Run it as cast for a while. Thats prob good for anywhere from 65-75 hp I'd guess. Then when you get tired of that you can send it off for porting and it'll be too fast to ride in any of those places you mentioned.
  2. Displacement isn't where the power is at on these things unless youre talking a huge jump. Even then efficiency inside the motor is worth a ton more. I bet you would be happy(for a while) with a good port job. You could prob gain a good 15 hp from what I think you have as a fairly stock setup. Then you still get to run stock sized pistons and all that. I had some stock cylinders that ran pretty good. There's plenty of guys on here that are pushing 90hp with properly setup stockers. Not exactly new tech so it's well proven. I just moved from Taylorville few months back. Spent my share of time tearing up the places you've been riding at. We rode at south fork back when it was nothing. Ah the good ol days.
  3. That does fix the wobbly gear but you might wanna look around a bit first. Is the replacement steel bushing softer than the shaft it's going to be riding on? That'll be a bad deal if it eats the shaft. Then you're splitting cases, stripping a trans and replacing a shaft. That's no fun. I've seen some guys are recommending gettin a new OE gear and putting that on since it'll have the softer bushing.
  4. Where are u at in Illinois? The guy you've been talking too is a site sponsor that does motor work. He'd be a good one too. BBK makes mustang parts, but I'm assuming you mean big bore kit?

  6. I'll take it bring it on up. It's free right? Or did I miss the price?
  7. Id ditch the 35s and maybe do some 28s. Mainly because they are easier to work on. I'm with most of these other guys that your gonna lose bottom end with those bigger carbs. It'll rip prob just not down low. Youll be clutching more.
  8. Come on f'rs! Show me some
  9. Nice clean bike. Always thought I wanted one. Never ended up with one though. Good luck with the sale.
  10. Exactly what kind of riding are you gonna do? What are you looking to get out of it? Are you looking to be the fastest guy on the block or be able to lug it around in the woods? I've gone fron fatties to pro circuits to Vito's. Didn't notice much between the first two but big different between the pc and the Vito's. A lot faster with the drag style pipes but noticed a big loss of low end. I remember thinking it was gonna suck trail riding with the drag type setup. Just not as much fun to lug around. So there is nothing written that says one pipe or the other "won't work". Any of em will work. You just need to decide what you want to do with bike and use a sutible pipe and if you get further porting do the same.
  11. Inner hub doesn't look too bad unless some stuff is cracked. Rmatv sells the hub holder for like $15. Or just use an impact. Need to get that all out and cleaned. Then take a closer look. Check for wobble in the kicker idler while you're in there. Basket fingers don't look. Ad. Hardly any wear on em. I'd run it. Like to see what it looks like under the hub. That's where your name will be. Check the bushings on the rear of the basket too.
  12. You gotta do a little grinding on the inside of the cover to use a slingshot. Nothin too serious though.
  13. Haha u caved! Sorry racer. Jared and I have been on a picture rampage for a lil while now. Losers like us live on here and get pissy when we don't have pretty pictures to look at.
  14. Are u seriously sellin?
  15. There's a lil more to it than just throwing a 4 mill crank in though. U can't just throw one in and slap it back together. Depending what rods are on it you'll have to get the right pistons. Then you'll either have to have the head recut for the extra stroke or run a cheesy spacer plate under the cylinder. If ya don't really bad shit happens. So there's a lil more cost involved with it than it sounds at first. Then there's the matter of port timing. To really take full advantage of the extra stroke the cylinders need to be ported for it. It'll run but prob wouldn't notice a difference. So what I'm sayin is unless your crank is toast or you just wanna spend more cash I'd get what you already have tried and welded. Doesn't sound like you want to get too involved or spend any more money than you have too. Goin 4 mill is more. One of these days I'm goin to do a stockish bike again. I'm not going to do a 4 mill. Just have the crank trued and welded. Run some pipes, small carbs, reeds, pipes, and prob a head and call it good. If you wanna go with a serval I don't think there's much difference in hp between a stock stroke and a 4mill. I think if you start talking about crank changeout you need to look at longer rods also. That's another conversation about rod angle and all that though. Good luck.
  16. Should be a nasty lil duner. Wheelie pullin 4 poke eater.
  17. Well when u decide to clean house and get rid of that "junk" send it my way
  18. Ya WTF? Don't read so good or what?
  19. Ah the good ol days. Wish I had half a bike sittin in the back of my shop. An extra one anyway
  20. Not sure what insert you are talking about. How come you aren't using the fmf silencers? Need spark arresters? Got any pics?
  21. What's it take to get one of those? Could use one at my house.
  22. Shit ain't gettin any better. WTF guys? If you're on this site I'm assuming u can read. Everybody that goes along with the "I can text pics" shit ain't making it any better. It ain't that f'n hard. If u wanna take the time to use the free site that's here to use then atleast take the time to follow the rules. Shits pissin me off. And ya I know I'm nobody but tired of lookin at these friggin ads with all these shitty posts. And stop makin the ads look like a friggin book report. Put some space between the items for sale. That way the rest of us dummies can read WTF you're trying to sell. K, I'm done.
  23. Damn I used to have some too. U just missed out. Sorry man.
