Slow?
C'mon, jigsaws, sawzalls, grinders, and hacksaws all work great! And quick. Just leave a 1/8" on there and you can sand it down look good if you really want to.
Yeah Buchanan Racing was great to work with and have great service. I'll definitely keep in touch with them for my suspension need in the future.
BTW, glad to see someone from my neck of the woods, I'm in Wyoming now but I grew up in northeast Nebraska.
PM Washburn here on HQ. He can get you in contact with Buchanan Racing, I know they deal with Works and Elka and they may be able to help you out. I just bought a set of Elka's from them and they have great customer service.
I appreciate your help with getting them Washburn. I'll be sure to post how they perform when I finally get my bike going again and the weather ain't so shitty and I can get out and ride.
I don't know of any added bonus, I just think that they look a hell of a lot better with the fenders cut and in my experience you don't get dirtier with or without them. I guess it saves you a pound or two of weight and maybe a little wind resistance? Just my .02
I just got new Dune Edition Elka front shocks from Buchanan Racing, and like them already. I haven't been able to get out on them because I'm rebuilding the top end but they make a huge difference in just how my quad sits and how it handles the rider weight. Buchanan Racing was great to deal with, they have plenty of information for you and great prices on Elkas. I got my new shocks in under 2 weeks. You can get a hold of them through Washburn here on HQ.
Go to www.toomey.com they have the info on the sparkys. The newest ones just replace the tip of the silencer and use the same clip to hold them on, unlike the old ones that clamp on. Check ebay for some you can probably get them much cheaper there.
Sounds like how they do it in Wyoming, you don't need a title, just the VIN and you get a permit for a year. Pretty simple. You only need a title if you plan on licensing the bike for the street.
