  1. Since I bought the basket case 87 shee I took a break on fixing my 96 that would pop and backfire at idle. Sice the 87 is now up and running strong as hell I decided to pull out the 96 and try to figure this out. Floats are within spec So I dont know why the one on the right only leaks  I have cleaned the carbs like 100 times with carb cleaner and compressed air. All new intake gaskets. Checked for cracks, chips in reeds, Replaced the plug caps with NGK caps, Just bought some 27.5 pilots and 340 mains threw them in today no change at all by the way im 560ft above sea level. Tried messing with the air screw with no luck. I sprayed some carb cleaner on the base of the cylinders,Intakes with no change in idle. I Have no clue whats wrong whit this beast execpt for maybe a airleak which I cannot find. Anybody have any ideas that I can try.
  2. I believe I replied to your thread over on planetsand. I call first dibs on them pipes if they do not have any dents, dings or cracks. Shoot me a PM on a price shipped.
  3. Would you sell one of them banshee seat covers?
  4. Im interested in the pipes. Send me a pm on them
  5. can I get pics of the pipes. PM sent...
  6. Pics? Im interested. Let me know if you still have them.
  7. Do you know your elevation???
  8. If you decide to sell the header pipes let me know I will buy them.
  9. If its not the axle nuts then it is the carrier bearings. They arent to bad to change.
  10. Went and looked at the 250r today. Its was not in the condition I expected it to be in. Nothing like a good old 350 twin
  11. Look into the intakes on the cylinders. If they have been ported they will look different than a stock cylinder with no port work.
  12. I want to see a video of that bitch in action. Nice work
  13. How much just for the reeds and cages? Got any pics? Do they seat completly flat? How old are they?
  14. Yea mine is a nice bike. The paint looks like shit but other than that it runs strong as hell.
  15. I have wisecos in both of my bikes and I have no chatter
  16. Im looking for some aftermarket pipes if you have any laying around. FMF, Toomeys,CPI
  17. They guy just told me it has port work and reeds too. I think im gunna take a look at it and if I like it then im gunna do the trade. I dont really need it as a drag bike just as a play bike. I have my 87 shee that has almost everything as the 96 execpt for the +2+1 Aarms. I will keep you guys updated and if I trade I will post up some pics. Its one of the nicest R's I have seen in a while.
  18. Cant go wrong with Wiseco pistons
  19. Yea I think im going to stick with the shee. I think the only reason I want to trade so bad is 1. because I kinda wanted a 250r for some reason and 2. because the paint job is kick ass. I think I will just get mine painted or pouder coated over the winter because I cant stand the way it looks right now.
  20. A guy has offered me a trade for my 96 banshee. He offered to trade me a 87 TRX 250r. I have never rode a honda 250r and wanted to know how they compare to the shee. In a flat out drag how does the 250r hold against a stock banshee with pipes and no port work. Pretty much Im just wondering if this will be a good trade. The 250r has K&N air filter, pipe, new tires freshly pouder coated, new plastics, new seat, and some other random things. The paint on my 96 is not in the best of shape so it doesnt look the greatest but the things I have done to it are. New Hotrods trued and welded crank. Standard bore wiseco prolite pistons. Leager +2+1 a arms. New fly wheel. New Riky stator stator. New clutch. boysen reeds on stock cages Ricky Stator adjustible timing plate. Aftermarket handle bars Nerf bars. T.O.R.S removed New rear axle carrier bearings. new seat cover. New K&N dual pod filters with outerwears. Adjustible LRD pipes with toomey silencers. Fast trekker rear tires 75% tread left. Front bandit tires 90% tread left shock covers. aluminum oil dipstick
  21. Pm me a price I might be interested in buying them if they are in good condition.
  22. They make the power where ever you adjust them to make it at. Alot of people use them for Trail/woods for the bottom end and mid, But like I said they are adjustible so you can tune them how you want. http://www.lrdperformance.com/faq.html
