  1. $635ish isnt that bad to me considering how much some of us spend here. At least you know you are getting some of the best work out there not to knock anyone local to you.
  2. how much does it cost to send a set of juggs one way from over seas tot he US in american dollars? I'm just curious.
  3. That's kinda odd for the bike owner himself not wanting to change a top end on a 13 year old top end. I understand not wanting to spend money on a builder that possibly isnt needed. I just went through that. It can get very expensive fast when you start adding parts up. But is has to be done right. Do it once, do it right. Concerning that shoutbox screen shot above, if you do some research on here then you will see who's work is good. That is how i found which builder i wanted to spend a lot of money with. Everything went fine. I even had my trans cut. The guy was so nice, he even took out his box of crayolas and drew me up some dyno charts. It's gonna drop panties for sure every time i start this beast mode engine up.
  4. Good luck hooking on grass like that with knobbies.
  5. Is it in dirt/grass? If so, throw on some 4 sno's or pro wedges and youll be fine. Throw back on the knobbies after. But watch out if he does the same....
  6. Just a worthless post. Carry on.
  7. what happens when a little 421 outruns that super? He better have excuses ready. I know i would.
  8. Yes but it wont work nearly as well. It's not something for everyone though. I use it mostly for my truck when i bring it to the track.
  9. Just a heads up, an external mic will make sound clarity a lot better. I bought a $55 external mic off the internet and it's much better for what it is. I just have to hide the mic from the wind. I have yet to try it on my bikes though. Id assume if i put it under the back of my shirt, it would be fine. Also it's ona go pro 2, not the 3. I have yet to buy a 3. The ability to use your phone and remote is amazing.
  10. It5s all about smiles per gallon....
  11. I give my engine builder first shot before any company
  12. What the previous owner ran at the track with it?
  13. Hows customer service between fox and elka?
  14. Dont cheap out on good fuel. I lost a motor like that years ago. I got tired of driving hours to get race fuel so my current engine was set up very safely for pump gas by my engine builder. We discussed timing and fuel choice thoroughly before he started my build. I also talked to my engine builder about getting all my engine parts. That way it was a one stop shop for my engine. He told me things he doesnt deal with like suspension etc for what i do. In short, whoever did the engine work should tell you best what to do.
  15. I looking on their website and they only show +2 +1 a-arms. I want +3+1. I dont mind LSR's price tag and paying for quality. I dont want heim.
  16. True. I was told that before. thanks.
  17. Ok theres a price difference. Besides that, what other reasons are there?
  18. Anyone care to say why they feel elkas stage 3's are being recommended way more lately than fox's equally priced shocks or the next series higher offered from fox?
  19. It wont change. Just ignore the drama. You are just throwing gas on the fire by saying that. I had many questions about my serval build. i read threads on it, asked questions, made a thread even though there was drama, i got what i wanted. The info here is for free too. So you cant complain about free. Plus when you are willing to talk with a builder and have him do your engine work, it's a great investment. Seldom a gamble. You can find a good builder like FAST, redline etc and have them help you out. That way you dont have to ask here. If i was a builder, i wouldnt tell anyone how i do engine work because that's how i would pay bills. It seems paying a shop to do it is a far less risk than messing up some good cases. I think it's only about $75-$100 to trench cases. Work a few hours of over time at work and you are good to go. I work in a machine shop, we have mills, lathes etc. There's no way id give my cases to someone at my work to try to trench them. Ill let an experience banshee builder do it. It may cost more, but i know it will be done right and if not, the error will be made right.
  20. I really hope no one takes these suggestions above serious and waste money. Use yamabond.
  21. if they are a good shop then they can answer the questions in your original post better than we can.
  22. adding weight aids in taming the power delivery hit, power in general and helps in traction, it also may help taking off from a stop. It's very popular with 2 stroke dirt bikes. As for lightening. I had mine done. split on me after a while and ruined a day of riding. Never doing it again. Plus you can always find another stock flywheel cheap on here.
  23. Correct. Not camber
  24. Adjust tie rods out on each side?
  25. If a compression test is good, i personally wouldnt of did a new top end either unless it had a lot of time with him. After all of this is settled, go to another builder if you arent happy. That's the beauty of different shops. Keep going until you find a one you like.
