You might want to try to play around with your gearing also. If you add a tooth to the front or drop some teeth in the rear, it will make it easier to ride because you have more gear. Reguardless of the hard hit from the power band, you should advance your timing. Stock bikes usually run +4 degrees. Buy a ricky stator one off ebay for 35 bucks, youll notice a difference in performance too.

I have the same CRJ gauge... the reason it will just keep on rising is because the banshee doesnt have any way to suck air through the radiator when its standing still (with the exception of the wind blowing). I usually turn it off when its about 200-210.

There is no policy here, most people (including myself) do feel that wearing a helmet when you riding is a smart decision. Im not you, and im not going to tell you what to do. I do wear mine, and although it hasnt saved me yet, i know the one time i wreck its goign to come in handy. Yea your going to have to take off the jugs to see the transfer ports. There are screws on the side of the jugs to drain the coolant. It shouldnt take you more than 30 min to do.
