  1. i bought a blaster for my wife. it's her first quad ever. she picked it up pretty quick and rides very well. the first thing i'm going to do is swap over a banshee front disc brake setup. the drums are okay, but i like the discs AND once i do that the front and rear bolt patterns will match my shee so i'll only need 1 set of backup tires.
  2. Yea man, your stand is really trick! Rot in the garage? How long have you been working on that thing? I thought it was a "so easy a caveman can do it"? When will this be? You have 5 videos posted on youtube and none of them are of a running ultimate-mega-badass banshee. They're all fast on the bench! I bet if you asked some of those 5000 people you were talking about, they'd tell you to quit riding on the street and acting like and ass. Get it running...post the video. That's all I care about.
  3. hey man, who do you know that make the electronics? i know of rddreams and zeeltronic, or something like that. i don't need anything right now but a programmable cdi and pv controller sounds like fun down the road!!!
  4. hey man, post it up on cincydirt.com too...those guys ride all over southern ohio, kentucky, and indiana. matt
  5. load up an update of it out running!!!
  6. too much work! don't do it! send me the motors so you won't be tempted!! yes, i do it again. it was slightly frustrating when it didn't fire at first but i got it figured out. to me if feels like it runs better all around and is easier to ride on tight terrain/trails. if you have all the electronics, do it! matt oh, i'd still be interested in the other motor!
  7. PRO-X pistions have the pins too....i couldn't figure out what they were for....so, i didn't use 'em.
  8. hey, i put some new rings on my PRO-X pistons a couple months ago....i was confused on the ring you're talking about too. the old rings didn't have it in them so i didn't put it in. so far, no problems...that's 4 good rides totaling about 30 hours. matt
  9. i can tell you i like mine a lot! for one, my thumb doesn't wear out now!!! i'm running a 35mm pwk, vf3's and pt high revs on my RZ motor. so far i have no complaints. on a 300' drag (mine is no drag quad) i can pull ahead on a ported t5 piped banshee. i didn't run dual carbs on this motor so i don't have a straight comparison but i do know from my 'shee motor to this one, the single is easier for me to dial in. in summary, i like mine!
  10. hey man, where did you get the cool head? from passion?
  11. yea, i'm going to convert to the zeeltronic guy's setup over the winter...while my jugs are at passionre for the 12port, i'm jealous btw RZman!. i think his either uses a hand held or laptop connection. i remember seeing the website, and drooling, when i was looking for a CDI. i'm liking my RZshee. had a few headaches but i'm glad i did it.
  12. here's what i get: 10 pages of "Cub Cylinder" related posts. Granted, that's across all forums. "Cub" is too short, I think the min is 4 characters.
  13. damn dude, you're being the smartass. bigred is a very banshee smart guy....if you would've done a search you would've seen his name 100's of times. IF you would've done a search you would see "Can I run a CUB on the trails" and "How do I jet" are the 2 most over talked about topics. here's where forum mod's would be a good idea...imho
  14. hey man, cascade innovations has a bunch of pt high revs....they are about 500 though. if the exhaust is holding you up, use some stock pipes to get going. yaxy ran them for a while and said they worked ok. matt
  15. me? i'm running a 2into1 from cascade with a 35mm pwk. i love it! it revs to the moon! at this point i don't see a need for two carbs. PLUS, my thumb likes it too!!! vf3 reeds too.
  16. thought of another thing...the rz pipes use flanges to bolt to the heads where the banshee pipes slip on the heads. that could be a real pain in the ass for you! i've got a spare set of rz jugs, head, and some other stuff...would you be interested in buying them? the jugs will need a fresh bore and the head is stock. the rz uses a 17 tooth sprocket where a 'shee typically runs 12-15....i have one of those too, if you need it, pay shipping and it's yours. it's a little much for me in the woods!!!
  17. do you mean speedometer output? i think that hookup in the back of the case is for a speedo and not a tach...i thought the wiring diagram showed the wire to the servo motor from the cdi also sends the signal to the tach. i think you covered the other two, no oil pump and different gearing.
  18. i have paul turner high revs.....yaxy would be able to tell you how stock pipes run on an rz, he did it for a while.
  19. how do you lock the nut down since you can't get ahold of the pancake bearing shaft?
  20. ok, in the last pic where you're showing the adjustment screw sticking through the flywheel... when that is on and bolted to the inner hub, how do you know how deep to set the setscrew? and, when you turn it, doesn't the whole pancake bearing assembly turn? does the ball need to come out?
  21. btw, i just finished my RZ conversion up if you have any more questions too.
  22. pt high revs and stock pipes for sure....i think i heard rockets will fit too.
  23. man i'm glad someone else is having the same problem i am! i'm going crazy trying to figure it out.
  24. i'd recommend getting the billet basket and possibly the inner/outer hubs and flywheel. it's $200 insurance for your $800 build! there's a new thread in here where a guy just killed his stock basket...no point taking chances. i just bought them all from jeff too...top notch guy!
  25. i'm going to take a shot in the dark here since i just took my basket apart to put in a new one.... the cushions do exactly what they say....they appear to be in there to cushion the impact and vibration coming from the crank and going to the transmission. i guess maybe a completely direct drive system would not be the best for wear and tear??? i tried.
