  1. wow, 10K in 6th...with a 16tooth sprocket....how fast were you going? and, how did you hook up your tach?
  2. it'll work but you'll be kicking your plastic. it is a lot longer. it's really not worth it. i left the stock rz kicker on mine just because i was too tight to buy a banshee one.
  3. make it 3...have it and love it. oh, on an rz350 engine w/pt high revs. i trail ride and hill climb and it works very well!
  4. why would you not be able to ship the whole motor?
  5. no, it won't be ok. fix it now or you'll be posting later about it not running right and smoking bad on one cylinder.
  6. hey man, i'm running a 2into1 from cascade innovations. the carb is a 35mm pwk. if nothing else, i like it because it doesn't wear my thumb out!!!! lol. after that, it seems to have a little better response and pull hard to the top. no complaints from me!
  7. i'm in clinton county...here, to get a title i need to have my shee's serial number checked at the dmv, or highway patrol (don't remember), once it's cleared as not stolen they (the title office at the dmv) will issue a title. make sure the bill of sale is notarized too.
  8. man that's an old page...is it yours? 3-4 guys on here will reply that have RZshee's...they'll all tell you it was a worthwhile conversion. i've done it myself and love it! it's not the easiest as you have to add some electronics...but it's really not that bad. imho, i wouldn't say a lot of problems. i had an rz manual and went from there. now, if you want easy, do what adrenaline junky said and get a decent port job and go.
  9. yea, i think the one in that 1st pic is open way too much. i used a 2mm allen wrench to set mine up. you definately have something wrong. maybe unscrew the cap and take a pic of the spring and what not under it. btw, no need to answer me in your other thread, this one answers my questions.
  10. hey man, did your tors removal kit come with idle screws to install? and, did you get the slides in the right way? i'm having a brain fart and can't remember which way is the right way, do a search...it's been discussed a 1000 times. if you didn't put those idle screws in you'll have some adjustment with those hex nuts on the caps. my stock carbs had the tors removed but the dumbass kid didn't put in the idle screws and i had to do it that way. if your stock carb slides aren't closing it's either the adjustment on the caps or you're binding the throttle cable somewhere. i don't know the answer to this question but do you need a new throttle cable when you take the tors off? oh yea, i think you won the longest titled post ever contest!!!!
  11. wallace, are you buying the '87? i want both of them but can't get up there until the 19th. 96_banshee, please keep this thread updated if you sell either one matt
  12. are you saying to not use a timing key at all...even a stock one?
  13. you gotta have a key in there to reference where your flywheel is at in comparison to the crank....i guess you could eyeball it but why risk it. call jeff, or your dealer, to see if they have a standard key in stock.
  14. here's a pic of where the timing key is at...this pic is from the case splitting post BigRed350X made a while back. the key goes in the snout of the crank.
  15. put a dab of grease on that bolt before you go hitting with the impact! once you're ready to put the flywheel back on just zip it down with the impact. if your are using an impact you can get a buddy to hold the flywheel. pay attention to the orientation of the key when you get the flywheel off too
  16. maybe it's a scam for building swingarms???
  17. just curious, why are you using the reed spacers?
  18. lol...didn't know they made those :yelrotflmao:
  19. Paul Turner High Revs. The way these pipes snake around in front of the jugs leaves a lot of room at the pv. yes, i believe it's only tight on the left (clutch handle) side. the grey ones in my sig are not the PT's...they are FMF Gnarlies, I need to update my sig pic! I'll try and get a pic of the pipe to pv clearance.
  20. sonofab!tch!!! just what i've been looking for!! hey man, i'm stuck working in ireland for a couple more weeks...if you have this on August 17th i will come get it!!!!!!!! if you can wait until then i can paypal you a deposit??????? matt
  21. the manual i have has a small paragraph or two about setting the pv's...it's easy. with it off, set the hole in the finger looking piece in line with the hole in the case behind it. sounds stupid if you're not looking at it. us a drill bit to hold it in place then take the slack out of your cables. you'll be setting it at about an 11 o'clock position. once you fire it up you'll see it kind of auto adjust it's self to the proper position which is about 2o'clock.
  22. the rz needs either a battery eliminator (which i run) or a battery. no floating grounds like you would on a normal 'shee to put in a battery. yes, you need all the electronics. but, do a search and you'll find a recent topic where we were talking about electronics and a guy that makes a programable cdi/servo controller package. 4stroker, i didn't really have any problems...here's what happened. i bought a complete rz engine but then found a package deal of jugs/electronics/pipes on ebay so i bought that too. i used the bottom end, along with the original stator, and the package deal setup. i re-wired, and cleaned up, all the wiring and ended up not labeling a few connections (figured i could remember them! ). so, i had to break out the rz manual. it's only helpful to a point. after a few checks i said F-it and put the stator from the package in and ran all new wires. this time i tried a new wiring setup for the kill switch and it fired on the 1st kick. so, it wasn't too much of a PITA but i don't really know if i wired it wrong or the original stator was bad...but, i do know now it now runs like a raped ape!
  23. here's how i did my wiring. i made a bracket and put it all under the radiator. if your setup was in a 'shee before, then you probably have an idea where to put the servo. i put mine up on the tab where the tors module went. as for the pipes, i'm not sure what the best way to dent them would be. fyi, there was a sweet set of rocket pipes for sale on here in the last day or two!!!
