  1. No some sort.of it is there but it needs help. I would hope the investigator has the proper tools the "raise" the vin. I have been doing a lot of reading on how to raise the Vin out of a ground up surface like how they pull serial numbers out of pistols that have been shaved off. If he can I will, or I will hire a metallurgist locally that I can pay to go and use his magic to reveal the impressions. I have too much money in this for these fuck wads to take my shit. I swear where to they get off doing this shit. I mean I get it u check but my story is legit, I have my receipt from blast and powdercoating and have a title! Should I get an attorney now or wait for the investigator. This bike was caked in mud , you couldn't even see it was a shee, so if they are fucking riding it I will know and will prob be in jail.
  2. Hi guys, I'm going to try and make this short. Was riding on the 4th with some buddies. Was a great day. Coming home we get pulled by ohio highway patrol for "speeding". All he wanted to do was talk about the bikes and who they belonged to and where we got them. So my just broke in 391 shee is on my trailer in my name with my bike. They were checking vins. Mine had the problem. 10 years ago I had the Damn thing sandblasted and powdercoated. He couldn't see it. So I'm on the side.of the highway scraping my powder coat with ago screwdriver since it's all I had. The outline of some blur was there but no real legible numbers. I didn't want to sand on it and erase them all. This bike is 100% legit. I even had my girlfriend drive 45 minutes with the title and the plate for it. So he says since he can't read all the numbers legibly, it's confiscated until an investigator comes to try and see what he can do. He claims if they can't get a number that it will be destroyed. I hope he can get the Damn number. I have $7000 in this bike from the time I bought it 10 years ago till now. I can't believe this is happening and I could lose my bike forever! I guess I don't know if I should seek.legal advice or not or if anybody else has had anything like this? It makes me sick to my stomach and I just want to beat the shit out of "somebody".
  3. Damn are.u serious? I might have to check into that. Your description of the performance sounded lack luster.
  4. Well put the rings.in the cylinders and check that first and foremost. Also, what is the piston to wall clearance?
  5. Then post it in the wanted section, this is for sale not wanted.
  6. Now that i look closer, when he's squeezing the rings does he have the locating pin in between the ring gap? Maybe that's why it's not closing. Might still have to file the gap. What is the ring gap?
  7. I like being able to see the rusty ass flywheel. Looks nice. I don't even.know what we're looking at. Which cylinders are which? Those rings definately dont look like the right ones. You are sure it's a stock stroke long rod?
  8. Ok, I'll consider it cool then. I never noticed it before, I've put alot of bikes on the stand. Thanks.
  9. Right. Unless there is a crank seal leak. But it held pressure so obviously that's not it. So why the trans oil 2 days later?
  10. Did a leakdown the other day on a wore out motor to make sure the bottom was sealed before I split the top end. Motor held 6 psi for 90 minutes (I forgot while bullshitting). Never dropped a tad. No oil anywhere. Unhooked the tester and haven't really been in the garage. Went out today and noticed a puddle of trans oil at the back, where the case vent it so I suspect it's coming out of there. How did it pass a leakdown so long, but I have oil coming out? It seems that pressure had to have been in there for a while, but none of that makes any sense at all.I mean I flipped it on the grab bar and put it in the air on the stand, but I really don't see all that oil filling up the vent hose in that amount of time, few minutes maybe. It looks like maybe 1/4-1/2 cup came out. It's hard to gauge since it is oil. Maybe a 12"×3" puddle. Any suggestions? ?
  11. Don't try and be tough for being a stupid ass that can't read.
  12. I did and now I'm pissed. Put this in the god Damn wanted section. Wtf.
  13. I wanna say thanks fellas. Did the matching cases, cleaned em thoroughly, red scotch Brite padded the mating surfaces and threebond 1211. In 10 mins I had a .2 pressure drop but the pump is still hooked up and there is a slight seepage there. We are ready to roll!
  14. I'm glad now I don't feel so shitty lol
  15. God Damn it. I bought some fatties a week ago. Would have much rather had these. TURD LOL. Glws. Good ass price, I'm jealous.
  16. Still looking
  17. Interested in any trades? I have a set of trinity stage 4 pipes in same shape as these.
  18. I don't know anyone or anywhere close thay would be able to do the glass bead blast. Is the red scotch rite the next best thing?
  19. If anybody knows where i can find some that are reasonably priced it would be appreciated. Not trying to spend 200 on ebay.
  20. Will do, I got a fresh tube of threebond 1211 to give a whirl.
  21. I got a set of matching cases. I thought about the 3m pads, but the red is equivalent to a 320 grit paper scratch wise.
  22. Built a motor for my girls shee. Did a leakdown and of course at the intakes had a leak. It still held at 5.5 psi the entire 6 minutes so I could have been good there, but obviously wanted to make it perfect, especially knowing where the leak was and how to fix it. After repairing that and testing again, it started all fine not moving at all until about 3 minutes, I hear a little leak. It took a few times of it bleeding off and pumping back to 6 psi to find it, and every time the leak was getting louder. I found the leak where the case halves meet right at the case drain hole in the center being the cylinders. One thing I need to mention is they are not matching cases. I had the parts so I tried. Now im not sure if the leak was because of mismatched cases, the fact that my threebond 1194 was like 4 years old (still looked good and was liquid), or the fact that the cases were almost like a polished surface. I bought new matching cases for the rebuild, but I sos pad the surfaces and it cleans them well but it makes them smooth. I'm curious as too if I should very lightly and quickly run over the case mating surfaces with some 400 or 600 grit sandpaper to kind of scuff them for nice bite for the sealer, or if the smooth surface is fine. Thanks.
  23. Let me know and send pics. Looking to buy fast. Thought I would check here before buying new on ebay
  24. Like it says, need a clean nice set of cases for build. Thanks
