  1. i dont think your going to be able to tune it to get bottom end until you get your pipe fixed. the shape of the pipe and what not need to be sealed ass the pipe needs back pressure. also it look like that bike was built from peices i would tear it down like you have and go through the hwhole thing butting it back together get all the right parts.
  2. i got a knock in my shee. i will start right from the top. ok well a couple years ago i sent my cylinders to fast and crank to get welded and ported, bored had to ask for them back after a couple months because i was leaving for a dune trip and jeff didn't have time to port them but they got bored and crank got welded. so new i put it all back together and she ran good, but after about a week of riding i heard a bit of a knock. it goes with the rmps but doesn't get any louder. after tearing it down and not finding anything i put it back together and rode it a season. then next winter i tore it back down and the pistons had a little bit of play so i though it was piston slap. so i sent the cylinders to Passions and got them bored with new pistons, put it back together still knock. same one. so i said screw it and rode it the season HARD lol ran great. next i tore it down again on night to check the crank bearings one was a little bad it had a bit of rattle in it when spinning it by hand and also had a ruff spot. so i got a new hotrods from Magic racing. put it in and Still the same knock/ rattle. im sure it in the bottom end now but when i try and locate where its coming from i can iv put a broom stick on the motor and listened but i just can find a specific area. so i rode it Hard again hoping to break whatever it was but have had no luck breaking it. so im tearing it down again and would like to know some things to look for.

  4. the jets are already in there. but they are to small. i forget what #'s the stock one are but you should be running like 270's with the toomeys. did you get the pipes used or buy them new. if you bought them new then there should be a jet kit with the pipes and you wont have to buy them. listen i have to tear my bike down to clean it up a bit and if your interested. i will take all kindas of pics of what they look like. and how to change them, also i will take pics of the importan things that you cant forget where they go like cross over tube and what not. let me know if you would be interested.
  5. yeah let use know when your going. I'm trying to plan a trip as well. really read up on all the stuff you need. i went for the first time 3 years ago went on a long weekend and almost didn't get in because i didn't know about the parking lot voucher. so do some research its a blast and you wont want to leave.
  6. get a manual for sure. they are cheap and you will learn tons of shit. dont pay someone they might not even know what there doing. its supper easy. and if you do pay someone dont let them tell you what size jets they are putting in you tell him. listen to the guys on here they have year and year of experiance. i would hate to see you blow it up and blame it on it being a 2 stroke. dont run it change the jet and also you might want re gear it wil a 15 tooth fromt sprocket. my bike was crazy with stock gearing and T5's had to go up a gear.

  8. hey guys i havent been on in about a year. came on lastnight and noticed the forum had changed. anyway when looking at posts i noticed some the text goes outside the white box and you can barly read the text on the blue background. whats up with that? or is there some kinda color change i need to do. for example i noticed it with loco's.
  9. i also have a set of there arms they are great i got mine about 2 years ago maybe more. i have bottom out many off times off big jumps not a problem. they held up great. as for the hemi,s i just spray my with WD40 almost every time i got for a ride and wash my bike they are mine. im not sure what the proper maintenance is supposed to be for them but WD40 has worked for 2+ years.
  10. hey guys i just got a new crank stock stroke hot rods. when i turn the flywheel with my hand it seems to have some play between the drive off the crank and the big gear on the back of the clutch basket. could this be my noise. i wouldnt say its alot of play but should there be any?. also could it be my cluch cushions. can they be replaced on the stock basket? i can move the gear on the back of the basket with my hand but its not overly to easy but it can be done. also when i put it together i just dumped ATF fluid in the tranny just to start it to see if everything was working right. then i was going to drain it and put in gear saver. but i only put a liter in. there should of been 1.7L but i ran out of atf so could the lack of oil make my tranny sound loud. it only ran for about 1 minute. then i tore it all back down and split the cases again but i just cant find any clear signs.
  11. hey i just got a kicker rebuild kit its a modquad. just wondering what to do with the oring. i tryed putting it in the groove at the bottom of the kicker lever but its to big and wont fit in. im sure im puttin it in the right spot. anyone had this problem?
  12. do a leakdown test its its sucking oil somehwer it shouldnt hold any pressure so the leak down tester will tell you. open the dipstick aswell when you do it just so the tranny isnt totaly sealed. by the cluch cover
  13. i was thinking about getting a set also they look wicked but think im going to go for black or silver. i seen a red set thats had faded within a year and turned a more pinkish color. it wouldnt of matched our frames at all

  15. i run there arms no issuse so far. i think there service sucks dick. they where like a week and a half before they sent my shit out last year. there PC sucks bad. atleast mine did. i can scrap it off with my fingernail. i had them all scrached put just putting them on. now the bottoms are starting to get surface rust. decent product minus my coating but the service sucks. when i talked to them last year they seemed mad at me because i was calling to see if they sent them out yet. i think i call twice and both times they seems short with me. hit and miss i quess. company wont last long if they keep this shit up. i will never buy from them again even though i like my arms
  16. could be shit in your tank. going into the carbs and jammin the floats open. clean the tank out maybe by useing air? water? then air to dry ? ummm if you knock on your bowls does it stop leaking?i would take the carbs off clean the tank. and take the foats off blow some air through them make sure there clean. and go from there? maybe its the oil you are useing? to sticky? i have no idea lol all the times mine have stuck iv either taped on them and fixed it or tore them down where the tapping doesnt work and there been junk in the float valve passage
  17. gas isway better then fluxcore wire i would prent the money on a small gas wire feed
  18. i got a set of works dual rates with rezzys. had them for about a year bought them used anyway. i just mounted them and started my bike up to hear this crazy rattle. them damn spacers are driving me nuts. what are they for. and can i take them out? can i stop the rattle somehow? it look to me they controll how far the small spring compresses before it starts into the bigger spring??

  20. yup i would get a clymers manual and split the cases. you probably want to puy a new crank aswell. probably not worth putting money in the old one getting it checked out
  21. i bought a set of rechromed T5's still no blueing yet. look like new down at the flanges. well i should say new its kinda a slight yellowish color at the flanges but from there on up still like new. i dont think all chrome blues and flakes my buddies CPI's still look new after 2 years aswell. bu tiv heard CPI has wicked chrome. anyway i would be if you had them rechromed by someone good they wouldnt blue
  22. listyour mods and elevation. sounds like jetting to me. clearly your lean so im going to guess thats the problem your haveing with it breaking up at mid throttle.
  23. yeah both are the same you can swap them over. make sure you slide are going up and down allthe way at the same time. its a carb issue. forsure. how did you sync them?
