  1. I plan on building a vacuum setup up once I get it built. Question now tho. I understand you would watch the gauge for a loss in vacuum but how can you tell where it's coming from on a vacuum test ?
  2. 150 psi also on 21cc domes. Running around 300feet above. I use 91-94 octane whatever One I can get. Ran great for years
  3. Interesting. What else have I miss in the last 6-8years.
  4. I can understand that. People are running 421cc on trails now. That was considered insane years ago ahaha. SLP be a big improvement over T5's on a clean up ported stock cylinder stock carb motor ??
  5. Quick question guys. What is wrong with the T5's. Back say 6-8 years ago when I was frequently on this forum and rode everyday the T5's were the all around best pipe from what people said. I'm not trying to argue any different just curious about why ??
  6. Similar thing happend to me. My banshee sat for 4 years in. In that time mice had moved into my air box. They destroyed everything. Tore the air box off and went with a 2into1 filter setup cleaned the carbs and tried to get it running. When it wouldn't start I messed with the pilot jets. Was stock 25's so I went to 27.5. Same issue. The. 32.5 I think it was that started it but smoked like a chimney. So on a whim I decided to buy a new float bowl for my left carb and it instantly solved the issue. Bowl was clean but that tiny jet for the choke was clogged in the bottom with no way to clean it. I couldn't remove it. And an ultrasonic bath didn't help either. So I would investigate that left carb bowl
  7. Perfect. I did think about the vacuum but didn't have the tools to preform it. This answers my question perfectly. Thanks very much. I will post back how it is once I get it all back together Thanks again
  8. have you tried taking the air screws out. cleaning them, and blowing the passage out with air. possibly clogged and you cant dial in your mixture to idle
  9. hey guys. been some time since iv been on. finally got back on the banshee this year. anyway story little back story. rode last year a few times. bike ran good as usual. this year same thing 2-3 short 30 min rips so far. went to check fluids the other day and noticed I was down on trans fluid. topped it up took almost 3/4 liter. seemed odd but I didn't think much of it at the time. then I went for a ride and noticed my right side silencer smoking way more then the left. I stopped smelled it . but couldn't really smell tranny fluid. I rode it another 5 mins then came home no change to the smoke. I have replaced the packing no change to smoke. 150psi both cylinders 21cc domes. pulled the motor this afternoon did a leakdown it will hold 5-6psi for 5-10 mins so it would seem like its a pass but if I take it up to 8-9psi it will very slowly creep down over the course of 5 mins back down to 5-6psi. iv sprayed the entire motor several times. iv tried moving the crank up and down zero movement by hand tried rotating it and looking for bubbles. I did see 3-4 tiny little bubbles and I mean tiny. they didn't really grow and blow up like an air leak does but they did appear non the less so at this point I think I'm just going to replace the seals. my question is. can a crank seal pass a leakdown but still be bad.
  10. Not really a great pic but this is 10" rims and 20" razors
  11. Have you noticed your right front tire is mounted backwards on the rim. ?? Sorry. Not trying to be an ass.
  12. Hey guys. Dented my Toomey pipe. If reasreched a few methods. I will try the freezer method first. But had a question about the heating with air pressure method. My dent isn't to bad. But needs fixed. My worry is I will ruin my chrome I have T5's that have been rechromed and they are simply beautiful. Will heating cherry red with map gas ruin my chrome ??
  13. Wel yamaha won't sell just the bowl. I will check out the other sites. Thanks a lot.
  14. Awesome. I believe that is what is wrong with my banshee. The little jet in the bottom of the bowl is completely plugged solid. Can't seem to get it cleaned out after many ultrasonic baths. Causing a hard start when cold. I couldn't find the bowls on drive lines site. ?
  15. Been out of the banshee game for awhile. Getting back into it. Didn't know they made such a thing for stockers. Figured everyone just swapped them out with pwk's. Will these billet bowls still retain the choke function
  16. Anyone every used them. ZoomZoompartz. Need a left carb bowl for my stock carbs but I'm having a hard time finding one. This company seems to have identical carbs to the stockers and are a good price. Im hesitant as I don't want to blow a motor because of a shitty carb. Reviews on other forums seem to be good. Just nothing banshee related http://m.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-BANSHEE-350-CARBURETOR-1987-2006-350-YFM-350-RIGHT-LEFT-SIDE-NEW-CARB-f-/361534571719?_trkparms=aid%253D222007%2526algo%253DSIC.MBE%2526ao%253D1%2526asc%253D20150519202348%2526meid%253D675e67ee8810457890036124a7bec748%2526pid%253D100408%2526rk%253D1%2526rkt%253D8%2526sd%253D191807163318&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460
  17. Did some testing today. Toomey needles 3rd clip from top. 310 Mains. 27.5 pilots. 1.5 turns out air screw. These are the plugs after a wfo chop.
  18. going to do some tuning tomorrow if the weather agrees last I rode it years ago it ran great all around only change has been the pod filter and no airbox
  19. I added T5's. Boysen reeds. Coolhead with domes and +5 timing. Ran 290's toomey needles middle clip I think. Stock pilots and 1.5 turns on the airscrew it held together and ran strong. I had to go to a 15tooth from sprocket tho. It was way to hairy on the stock 14
  20. Hey guys. Just recently got my banshee going after about 5 years stored away. Not intentional. kids came ya know. Anyway. The mice distroyed my airbox and filter. I cut the box out but was able to keep my proflow adaptor and install a massive 8" or 9" long uni filter pod. Figured this would change my jetting. So I went from 290's and 25pilots toomey needles middle clip to 310's and I got 27.5 and 30pilots. Bike runs around sealevel. T5's. 20cc domes. 94octan. +5 timing. Boyseen power reeds. Only ride between 10-30*C. Bike runs good ontop. Might try a 320main. But what has me confused is this pilot jetting. I started at 30 and it doesn't seem to matter if I have the airscrew all the way in or out. So I thought maybe to rich. Bumped down to a 27.5. Same thing Did seem to idle abit faster. Just abit hard to tell with the screw 2 turns out on the 27.5 but i would think that's lean with the open filter setup. IV had the carbs apart about 15 times. Cleaning. Had them ultrasonicly cleaned. Checked everything. Adjusted the floats to 21mm only one was out. I'm kinda stumped. I find it hard to test the piolt by riding cuz it seems to come onto the power so quick your past 1/4 throttle and onto the needle and main before you can tell what the bike is doing. 25 piolt was defiantly to small tho. It bogged. I tried reading what everyone was running on the sticky but it seemed to vary way to much to come up with an idea of me being lean or rich
  21. Looking for a stock 26mm mikuni carb bowl. Has to be the left one due to the choke circuit.
  22. could someone point me in the right direction to view some of there products ?
  23. hey guys i bough some shocks on eBay about 2 years ago Works Dual Rate with remote rezzys. so i put them on and sure enough they leaked oil around the shaft . i couldn't tell when i got them but as soon as i put them on and worked them the oil started to leak. so. it seems to me back when i got them i was told that it would be stupid to rebuild them and that for the price of it i could just get new shocks. has there been any good places open up that does good work and is reasonable. Works themselves are a bitch to get ahold of . so next question is. what are the shocks and rezzys actually filled with is there a way to buy a seal kit and rebuild yourself then fin a place to recharge them?
