Im cleaning out my carbs and intake because last time I was out I was in a ton of mud and water and on my way out of the woods my bike began to run really raspy like it was too rich or something so I fugured the filter was clogged so I pulled it off and got the same thing. Im cleaning out my carb because Im sure there is dirt in there. Anywyas to the point, I want to check to see if maybe its a cracked reed, If I do a compression check, will I see a drop in psi from a crack? If not, i guess Ill just pull the cages, but I wanted to avoid getting new gaskets.

  10. Im not sure there is any water in it, but I sunk it twice today and filled the pipes and cylinders in a canal and want to see if there is any water in the case. I dont think I got any through the intake, but Im not positive. I got it running, but it has a funny "raspy" noise on the high end now.

  12. really doesnt matter to me. I havent been to any of them so I dont know the difference other than croom is $50 a year, but has more variety. Either way, doesnt matter as long as I get to ride. Im getting alot of water down here and my space is getting smaller and smaller every weekend.
  13. Suuuuuuuure,... now you say something. :sad: I only rode for a couple hours here, but know one was out here. I think Im going to come up there next weekend though. Tomorrow Im going out all day over here with a bobcat I hope. :cool: Makin jumps. We were all supposed to come up here this weekend, but no one actually went that was supposed to that I know of.
  14. throw the ricky stator in the trash and use a stock or another aftermarket brand. Its about a 3 in 5 chance its going to shit out on you.

  18. with pods, Id run a 280 and do a plug chop. You might end up between 280-300 on the main. Probably 280 with those reeds. Every bike is different. Your bottom end is going to suck more with T5`s over stock. Get an advancable timing plate for bottom end and check your compression. A 25 main is fine. In colder weather you might need a 27.5 2 turns out or whatever, but not in 75-85 temps. Also your airscrew isnt going to adjust your idle, you need to drop your slides down with the adjuster on the tors or if they`re eliminated, your brass idle screws. Dont go by the color or consistancy of your plugs without doing a proper chop wot gear 1-6 with new plugs. Warm up the bike good,... WARM,... not idle for 2 minutes. take out your old plugs, put in the new ones with the old ones in your pocket or something without burning yourself, statr it up and rip it 1st through 6 wide open all gears then pu the clutch and shut off the motor without a chance to idle n roll to a stop bike off, then put the old plugs in and cut the threads off with a hack saw. About 2mm up from the base you should have a,... a coffee with cream and sugar brown. If its to light, bigger main, to dark, smaller. After you fix that, adjust your needle, then your pilot. Do one at a time, you cant tune a carb that well doing a bunch of adjustments at once. cut like this guy did.... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=81557

  21. damn! I have plans already next Friday. but the weekend after that Im ready to go. Croom is fine with me, they all are,.... I dont care, all I know its got to be a place where I can stay the weekend. Croom is good to cuz gas is close, and parts are close. BTW what about that riding park thing off 75 in Sarasota? I think. Somewhere right off the east side of 75. Anyone know what that is? I have a friend who knows about it if that shounds any better. I just remember driving by it several times thinking it would be nice to ride in there. Hills n stuff. Tomorrow im goin to the place by my house with a shovel and makin some jumps too.
  22. What kind of filter setup are you going to use? Boyesen need a little richer on the pilot and a little leaner on the main over stock. Need to know how much air your going to move through the filters though.
  23. Ive sold alot of cars, but only bought one on there, was a 70 chevelle needing restoration. I just bought it for 670 and sold it for about 1200. Not real big money though.
