There was alot of changes, bigger radiator, softer seat, softer front springs, longer travel rear suspension, linkage and shock changed, twin pod rear caliper from the single in 2005, modification to the front calipers, mod to the front brake lever, 10cc displacement bigger by 2mm longer stroke, and reworked cylinder head I think and higher comp ratio... There were more, but the best is 07, they had the oil mod done to it, from 06 downwards seize their cranks after a few years if you don't look after it... you can do the oil mod yourself, but Yamaha realized it was an issue and fixed it in 07...

But like I said, we need a South African domain, the thing is that on other big forums, 1 I know has about 120 SA members and just 2 are active, because its a international domain, almost half of them with the same usernames are active on South Africn sites, they won't get attracted as they would been with a SA domain.. We will not agree on this, but i'll respect all opinions..

Well, you don't know alot do you? We are probably one of the countries with the most banshees, besides usa. We own a massive cut in the quad/dirt bike market, one of the biggest in the world.. We have the Highest dunes in the world in Namibie (search google) and where the dunes is, theres the banshees! South Africa is the gateway of Africa..

Loco you are right, we are only trying to get the South Africans going, they want .co.za. Really, like most of you guys want .com. They want to meet South Africans. But again, thanks.

Hi Guys, I have been a member here for about 2 years know... I am South African for those who don't know me... We have started a Forum is South Africa, mainly for Banshees. Please guys understand me right here... I think Banshee HQ is and will be always the best forum for banshees, but this site is specific to get the South African Banshee community going, meeting people and organizing riding events and I will be trying to get the whole banshee DRAG thing going as well.... Some South Africans will say its impossible, but I need HQs help, if I wanted to be competition to you guys I would have choose the domain .com and NOT .co.za and still I would have NO CHANCE at all trying to create a better banshee site... So please, see that this is nothing about "stealing" members, South Africa is not near that big.. Off cause overseas riders can register... Like said I need you guys help.... I am doing mainly all of this, any input and help will be great, you guys can even register and start some posts just to get this thing going... Member growth will be slow, cause South Africa's internet services is just starting to grow, please guys, don't bash on me, the site is just in its beginning state and will change while time goes by... The original YFZ tires hooks up much better than the maxxis, they are radials, but way to soft and do not last like***. I prefer the maxxis also, but damn wish those dunlops would lasts longer..

On a YFZ Yoshimura all the way or DMC, thats what we have used and they both run good, I did not like the FMF on the YFZ.

Did you connected the choke tube between the 2 carbs?? It sounds like this is your problem....

Who did your porting?

I use the very cheap sponge bicycle grips, they stick to my gloves and they are the MOST comfortable grips ever, they are tough and the cheapest also. One thing I noticed with them, they take out a lot of arm pump and take out all the vibration, I am serious guys, just go and try them out, they are like $2 a pair. I used all the types in the world, now these won't last that long, but they are so cheap, I buy 4 pairs at a time, my last ones lasted a year!! I would actually call this a great mod, which can "almost" do the same thing as an anti vibe stem, depending hoe thick of a sponge grip you are buying... I just love these... When I told my friend to use them, he started laughing at me, now he is addicted to them, after realising I was serious..

Works make great shocks, fox also, but you can buy works for cheaper prices as far as I know...

aaaah, I did not realise I you posted into the XC forum. Get a 12 port port job for XC, its more like a upper mid to top end type off power band..

+4 timing will only add hp on the bottom to lower mid. Get a port job for the type of riding you do, that will determine how your power curve will look, like bottom to mid range power for MX or top end for drags... and the pipes to compliment the porting. like pro circuits for mx/trails and Shearers for drags... There is a lot of engine builders, if I would get a MX/trail port now in the states I would send my cylinders to Passion Racing for a 12 port mx porting, stock stroke MX 12 has the broadest power band and can deliver 70-75hp.. Give Jim @ Passion Racing engines a call and talk to him, he is a great guy..

oh, forgot, you will have to change the port timings and run 795 pistons... Its not worth it, just buy the Long rod +4mm stroker.
