Hi Jim Will these pipes clear RZ motor's power valves?
-
Hi Jim.... At last... Pipes on the market.... And you back on HQ?? I totally missed this thread, although you assured me it will be coming.... Great news man, and you back up everything you stand behind.... No question I asked was ever replied with just an answer, it was always a answer WITH a explanation to back up the answer.... I hope you will send a set to BVH Racing Developments in South Africa? Regards Burger..

New Rebuild Melted Piston :(
2strokespirit replied to 03bansheeLE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Do not rule out the fact that its NOT electrical........ You have covered the basis...... I have had a CDI that was stuck in advance, I know what I am doing and learned the lessons..... Yes it always seized just 1 piston, although it fires both.... Its just unbelievable.... So if you rule out the fuel issue, check your cdi man.... It happened to me 2 times one on my own RZ and on a customer's banshee.... -
No you don't, for what you will pay to resleeve cylinders for a lower exh and not to even talk about the fact that the sleeve will overlap the ali if its lowered its not worth it.. You can run a high transfer with even a exh duration of 185 degrees with a good blowdown, you will have TONS of low down power. I build LOTS of motors for low down and I will tell you, you will not believe the power. In theory a low exh port is what you think will work, but running the right compression and getting the time area right on a exh port with makes a setup killer. No need for lots of money and resleeving. I will go 4mm. To the original poster, contact HJR, I know he will set you up..
-
You don't need to lower a exh port to get low down power.. Get the blow down "in spec" and run a high transfer.. You will have TONS of low down power.. Agreed on the PCs.

33mm PWK's too big for Pro Circuits?
2strokespirit replied to Building my First's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I don't really know if this will answer your question, but I have a agg trail 4mm motor with PCs and 33mm PWKs.... This thing is a beast, there is TONS, I mean TONS of low end power with a very strong smooth band and still GOOD top end... You can "port for a pipe" but its backwards.......... PCs just impress me more and more.... Seriously.... -
21cc dome on a 4mm with 91octane is WAY to small.... The UCCR will be way to high for that fuel.... You will have to go up to like 25cc... You can't say that all motors will run save under 150psi gauge reading.... The UCCR is what does the job and this is a 4mm.........
-
Yes, its your basegasket....... I had a RM250 that blowed the fuel out the base gasket when it was running..... The owner brought it to me and say it has lots of issues, I started it and ask him "and this"........... The barrel was tight, just one of those things...

which intake is your prefernce?

I used Boss on my 4mm. Now I run upp with reed spacers.. Upp is tough as can get. -
Jip have to run a batt, also do the DC conversion. I yeah, I'm going 7mm, allready have the crank, hope it works out..

Oh yes.......... I spoked to Borut about the stator.... Not sure whats up, but another guy got his on a banshee stator running.... I'm not gonne change to RZ stator, I told Borut that, if there is issues, He will sort it out until it runs with a banshee stator..........
-
What??? Now you make me worry?? Borut recently e-mailed me, because he wanted to know what stator I am running.... I said banshee one.... He said, his just checking..... Whats the deal here??? Did you sent the old one back?? I think he said mine will be fine.... Well we see.... Glad its running..... How is the power delivery???

Hi scabarat, you can contact me on e-mail.. [email protected] I will help you out where I can.. Thanks HJR! -
What brand stators do you use?? Ricky and RM stators is junk... Some people on here had warranty claims as you would not believe, most that run them will tell you their junk... Get oem stator if you had been running these chinese crap...
-
I agree with you.. That why I said "most likely". Its just a guideline and was most of the time accurate for me, although I had one where the whole head of the piston from middle to exh side was melted.. So thumbs up!
-
Not always to say that a failed cdi will make both cylinders fail, it should yes, but one is always 1st to go.. I had this in the past on 2 customer's bikes.. This should be your last option.. Also your crank could have slip a little out of phase, but assume its welded.. Detonation tends to burn a hole in the piston due to pre ignition.. Most of the time lean mixtures burn the exh side of the piston which is the hottest side and melts firts due to a lean mixture.. If having a hole in the piston you have deto issues (most likely) 2 different things between detonation AND overheating due to lean mixture..
