  2. ported, and shave the head, and you might even have some money left for a timing key,i have never used one of those keys, but when in a budget, its all fair game, that right there should put a smile on your face whan you hit the power band.........
  3. when i race i keep the rpm range as high as it will let me,if not it will fall on its face.....i think its all on take off,iam also geared way higher than you,and i have 165 lb per cylinder.iam geared 15/43 for the hill,i think it should take of in 2nd gear ,practice my young grass hoper. :: :: ::
  4. play with your gearing, gearing is just like jetting, you just have to play with it......also if youre at sea level i think youre to lean on your main,i runed w my toomys 310 on my main, and my plugs looked good......my 2 pesos..... :: :: ::

  8. well those people are idiots, and 2500 bucks put into any shee ,and iam not talking on just motor work, and youill be running w 535 trx or yfz,and those 4 strokes to even be conpetitive you would have to spend i say 5 or 6 grand, thats what one of my buddys recently spend on his trx,and his thinking his going to kick my ass.him on his honda, and me on my shee.his one of my close friends, but as far as him kicking my ass,all i have to say is,YOU BETTER PUT OIL IN YOUR GAS IF YOU WANT TO KICK MY ASS........ :: :: ::
  9. i agree wuth you, also just to fuck with you a bit i just got back from glamis,i did a 1 day run,and we went everywhere, china wall, comp hill, olds, some hill called brewley slide,we ended our day at boreman ville or what ever its called, drank like 10 or 15 pitchers between 8 of us,and went home,it was the most riding i have ever done, and all of us went on my buddys mobile home which included a dasighnated driver.had a blast.i took about 8 gal for my ltr 450[did not take the shee]and used about 6 or 7 gallons, that thing does really good on gas,iam also all beat to shit right now,we also only went through the dunes none of those flat areas, exept when we went to comp, but let me tell we were pined all the way................hope to see some of you guys soon? :: :: :: :: ::

  11. i honestly think all misconceptions come from people that are not really dedicated to the sport, its ignorance.i mean a banshee is so easy to work on,that sometimes we,or i forget that we,or i have to take my time, and be paciente with whatever it is iam working on,its also very easy to fuck something up.the biggest misconception ive run into is that there not reliable, but shit when you think about it how many of us are just running pipes, and filters,i say 1 out of 100 banshees, its not really expensive to mod a banshee, but sometimes i think people want to take all the short cuts posible[putting used gaskets back, etc]anyway, what iam trying to say is,50 out of 100 4 strokes have only pipe, and filter,so ofcourse their going to be more reliable........bullshit gets spread by backyard machachics, and joes that dont know or dont care to learn that is a kind of art working on a banshee,to me its a pleasure..............my 2 cents. :: ::

  16. fuck that the shee motor or no mods to the frame, and a 250.i mean we can get a 250 running pretty good, but i keep on pumping him up,iam like yea if you put a shee motor on it,its going to rip your arms out.....iam like youre going to be the fastes dirt bike on the hill......but if it cant be done it cant be done???????????????????????????? :: :: ::
  17. ok,i got a friend that has a dirt bike complete exept motor, and his looked into buying a regular motor, its a yz250,2 stroke, but his been talking about getting it to run hard[fast]i told him to put a banshee motor on it,and we can really get that thing to rip.is it even worth looking into?do you guys think we will have to mod the shit out of the frame to be able to fit the 350 twin cylinder motor in it?his already got a pretty bad ass suspention on it,his a sand rider period, but he wants to get to the hill, and kick ass,hes also not into jumping or anything like that.his mpre than willing to do it,but ofcourse he want help from myself, and a couple of other friend...thanks[i would love to see how fast we can get that thing, hell probably need a longer swing arm]thanks............... :: :: :: :: :: :: :: :: ::
