I think it could go either way... By going from 32:1 to 40:1 you are gunna add more parts gas to the same parts air causing your mixture to richen. If you are currently a little lein on the bottom then the added fuel will pick you up a little, if you where allready a little rich then it is gunna richen you up even more and cause a little less power production. right?? anyone else??

the motor being gone for the last week is my vacation away from the banshee Im ready to go back I believe it was bad gas but I really cant prove what caused both motors to go. The blaster motor work has stoped completely till the banshee motor is back and paid for. The left over money will determine what I do to the blaster motor. (maybe 240 kit)

I read some of it but the more they wrote the more ignorant they sounded. I have been to a lot of quad sites and this is the only one where we can all seem to get along. We ask quality questions and get quality answers out of knowledgeable people. I ask why my banshee is backfireing at another site and some raptor owner replys "cause its a 2 stroke piece of sh*t." that is just ignorance. I ask the same question here and I get the answer in a short time from people who really want to help. AMEN for the quality site Lee!!

A while back I told everyone that I blew my banshee and blaster in one night within 4 or 5 miles from eachother. Well I sent my banshee motor out the next day and I had a mild "play" port with vitos ss pistons, trued and welded the crank and put in a new clutch. I will be getting it back this week but I will be on vacation at my gf's families house in Prince Edward Island for a week or so right when the motor should be done. How am I supposed to have fun on vacation knowing that my motor is ready to slap back in the frame and its gunna be faster??? man its gunna suck!!

I just bought an 02 blaster for the wife and the motor is noisy It sounds like piston slap to me so Im gunna have it rebuilt after the big poker run we have coming up this weekend. anyway back to your problem If you can get your hands on a stethascope you could put it on the motor and pinpoint the noise. thats what I did cause I didnt know where the sound was comming from and I def hear it in the topend.

Im going tomorrow morning to look at a blaster for my gf and the deal looks to good to be true so Im taking my compression guage with me... what compression should that have????

I used to use mothers and I tried eagle ones old fashioned majic wadding. It is a can of cotton wadding (like the cotton balls) with polish all ready soaked into it. You just tear off a piece and polish away with it till its all black and no good then you take an old hanes cotton undershirt and wipe it down polishing as you go. the stuff works great and its under $5 at k mart. try it out, I think youll like it.

I really think the power increase from a milled head to a aftermarket head is gunna be minimal. Youd be much better off with v force reeds for a power increase (since your head is allready milled)

Im gunna mix up 5 gallons of 50:1 and hammer down then... I gotta trust you guys. If shee doesn't blow with in this 5 gallons sheell be fine Ill hammer it hard just to get my fears out of the way. thanks guys !!!!!

ok Im gunna do it... im nervous but if you guys say its ok then Ill try it. I'll prolly go 40:1 Im just worried about holding it wide open for long periods. I will ride it then prolly jet down to compensate for the added fuel.

I actually have a tear in my eye. Its like they are talking about my first born son... There are so many banshees out there that they will never be forgotten, 20 years from now there will still be banshees in front of every one else at the top of a sand hill in the dunes.

ok now if I change my mix ration from 32:1 to 50:1 or maybe 40:1 (Im a little nervous) then I will have to rejet also correct?? I will be allowing more fuel in so I will cause a rich condition correct????

does anyone else use amsoil series 2000 or dominator?? I been mixing 32:1 and the gallon jug says 50:1 premix so I've been thinking of going a little leiner 36:1 or 40:1. I run wideopen for long distances some times (5 miles) so I dont want to go all the way to 50:1 Im worried that wont be enough. any ideas????
