of course I should call on monday but it broke on sunday. I have never heard any bad about fmfs quality either thats why I decided to go with ssts instead of toomeys. I found them for almost $100 cheaper and I like the sound of fmf better and they arnt as loud and I ride around town a lot. As far as performance I cant feel any difference between the two shees. they had different mods so its hard to tell. It dosent really matter now since I got it welded The weld is thicker and wider so It wont break again I just wanted to post my prob so if it had hapended to anyone else they could hear it wasn't the first time and I wanted to bitch about having to put money in a new set of silencers. I didnt realize anyone would crawl up my ass about it, the shit aint my fault.

I agree sanddune, I think raptors are good bikes I ride with 3 of them all the time. they have their advantages, for one they are really easy to ride. I was gunna start my girl friend out on one but then I let her ride my shee the other day and she impressed me but thats another story. You really need to be experienced to ride a banshee like ANYONE can ride a raptor they are just that easy to handle. I prefer my banshee and thats why I bought another one instead of a raptor the last time I bought a bike. I can out run all the raptors that I ride with on my shee with ease and I like that.

My toomey pipes never had a weld crack apart or a hanger break Thats all im saying!!

toomey is great like that I emailed them and asked how much it would be for new stickers that go on the silencer. I didnt get any responce for about 3 days then a whole sticker kit showed up at my door. I only needed a couple silencer stickers but they sent me the whole kit. Ive had great service from them in the past also.

I had fun yesterday kicking the shit out of a friends hopped up raptor. He thought it was the fastest thing around cause he beet a couple 400ex's with it. poor kid. has full fmf exhaust. ported head. different cam,and some other miscelanious stuff, c series rims and holeshots, durablue axle, all that junk and I had almost a full gear on him all the way to top end. we tried rolling starts and full stop starts and he never spent a second in front of me. I rode it and its full of snot on the low end but the power falls right off as the R's go up. took forever to wind out 4th and 5th.

I have sst powercore silencers on my shee and one side the weld holding the silencer to the stinger tube broke and almost fell off. so I had to have it welded and upon further inspection I found a crack all the way across the mounting ear on the other stinger tube. I had a guy fabricate some spacers and got a couple bolts at the local hardwear shop and put a bolt in the ear on the top of the silencer to help stop vibration. Anyway I have an extra $35 into silencers that have only been used for about 5 tanks of gas.

I didnt realize there was speculation I thought that just pullin in the clutch and coasting in general was bad??? so if im in 6th gear its ok to do it but not in the lower gears unless I go all the way to Neutral???? If Im gunna coast with clutch pulled in kick it up a couple gears if I can??? am I right??

I never knew how much I pulled in the clutch and coasted until I tried to stop ( for my trannys sake) I do it all the time. I always thought if you where gunna slow down from Hig R's you should pull in the clutch and coast becuase if you just let off the throttle the engine stops getting fuel (i.e. lubrication) But I recently found out that that was very bad for the tranny. I hope I didnt do any dammage allready.

boonman hit it right on the head. NY takes your certificate of origin and destroys it the only proof of ownership in NY is the transferrable registration once its been rigistered. If you dont register it a certificate of origin will also prove ownership but once you register it a registration is all you will get.

man Im glad I know that. I used to coast down hills that where like a mile long with the clutch pulled in. Ive only put about 5 tanks through my new banshee so I hope I didn't hurt anything by doin this but Ive only done it a couple times I think with the new one... That I remember anyway It never crossed my mind before. I'll never do it again though. thanks for the info...

hey boonman did you say its bad for the tranny to pull in the clutch and coast. I think I remember reading that it was bad but I couldnt remember if it was bad to pull in the clutch and coast or pull in the clutch and rev it. Im tranny stupid!!

Even if it wasn't a true reading its prolly close enough that you should freshen up. If your gunna pull your top end down youd be crazy to just throw in a set of rings and put it back together for what it costs to do a good job its worth it. get a fresh bore it will make everything a lot tighter... over time cylinders get out of round and need to have a fresh bore. also I would consider vitos pistons. I'v used them and the performance shop that does all my work uses them in some of their banshees and we have had good luck with nice performance results from them.

Just go to toomeys website and look at the pipe sets. Under the T6 catagorie they say "for stock motors" and under the T5s they say "for modified motors" Im currently using sst's but I have used t5s in the past and they are a great pipe. call toomey and tell them what you are gunna do with your banshee and they will tell you what pipe you need... If I where gunna buy new pipes they would be toomeys Idk which ones but I would go with prolly T5s since I plan on some good motor work and I have read they respond better to motor mods but Idk I would call them and talk to the pros at toomey before I made up my mind... The T6's look HOT!! No doubt

Let us know any power difference there has been a long controversry over cpi and toomey t5.s. Id love to know how they feel in comparison.

Good so it should be an easy fix, I'll just break off my old gear, go to my stealer and get a new pin a gear and put it back together.

so why do you think its spinning on the shaftf???? and why wont the gear pull right off Im gunna go out to the garrage and break the cock sucker off but Id like to know why its spinning before I get all distructive.

I called the stealer and they said $9.65. My clymer manual says it should pull right off but I cant get it. I know there is a pin in there that is prolly sheared off thats why its spinning Right????

I used to do it about every day back in high school with my gf We'd hop on ride back in the woods and she would sit backwards on the seet and Id hit it from behind. In fact ive done it on every sled, banshee, jetski, boar, car, truck, and even my warrior. I make it a piont to break it in. sometimes its right in the garrage sometimes in the woods but its always AWSOME. cant beet combining my favorite things. My toys and my girl!!

I got my clutch cover off and found that I could turn my impeller gear and hold my impeller so if is slipping on the shaft. But I can get the gear off the impeller. I took the E clip and washer off and the gear should just lift off and I cant get it off. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!!
