This is what happened on Thursday. Just finished putting the original plugs in from doing a plug chop. About 200 feet to the truck and I heard POOOF while being pinned in 6th, I pulled clutch and killed it right away. Pulled a plug and seen metal shaving on it. :sad:
Looks like a rod bearing broke into a thousand pieces. This was the first time that I tried to run 50:1, 927. I was running 40:1 and got a bunch of oil spitting out the silencers, so I decided to lean it out more.
After I cut the plugs that I ran a pluc chop on, I had about 0.75mm ring, I was running too lean also, 148 mains. My crank is NOT welded :shoothead:
What do you guys reccommend, is the crank repairable or should I go with a 4 Mill :woot: ?
