you got a new basket? if so what kind? it should slide right back in lose..the grooves are directional either way it goes on its facing the right way...should have the washer then the bushing and the basket slides right upon it...

your talking about the long bushing with the spiral grooves init? if so it moves... dont use hardware storebolts...order a new set of clutch pressure plate bolts...they are heat treated,

it sounds like both of you need to take off the clutch cover and adjust your clutch on the adjustment screw...

non experiance from my side but from everything other have said cubs dont like single carbs they are all about gas and high rpm's your basically strangeling your cubs by going to one 38mm carb...

geta clymers and read how to adjust the clutch using the adjustment screw on the clutch... also if you have a mic check the thickness of your plates... depending how old your clutch is its probly time to replace your plates...

there are alot of variances to tell you what your hp would be... as far as milling your head what are you trying to get out of it? if your wanting to stick with pump gas dont go more then .020.. the lighten flywheel will let your motor get up to rpms faster but then you dont have the cintrifical force to carry the wieght if you like riding tight trails and turns... great for drag but not so much for trails... and stock plates cant be changed , an adjustable plate has elongated mounting holes and marking to set your plate to differant timings and then securing it with the screws... go to ebay and buy one they are pretty cheap..

id agree with you minus the flywheel.. they are nice to have for darg racing to get your monster screaming faster but if your riding trails id hold off on that , your motor will run better when your off the throttle for those hard turns, but if your into duning and dragging they will help alot..

running a stock moter at sea level (what your at pretty much) i think .030 will be too much to run 92 octane. any reason you dont want to run 50/50 or maybe 100?

check your cable its probly not the right length,doesnt matter what kind of throttle you have the minimum length should be same for any thumb for a banshee and same for any twist for a banshee..
