  2. nice... you know what the differance in price is? im taking some shit to mexico here in a few months to have chromed... theres a shop down in TJ that is all over hot rod magazine, im taking my shit to them... they do tripple plate show chrome and its dirt cheap... i hope they got the shit to do aluminum now thats would be rad!

  6. like big red said... if it can be chromed have them dipped... if not polish it... pretty much anything on your bike that will pull a magnet you can chrome
  7. you can probly get some of the oil used at machine shops when your cutting on a lathe or a mill and use that... if worse comes to worse douse that fucker with wd-40 lol the main thing is to keep the stones clean and not let them fill up with metal

  9. my pops used to use one where it was three stones that where set evenly spaced and where on spring loaded henges for tension, not sure what brand it was but the stones where enter changeable ... it worked very well for the application he was building... i know he tryed the ones you where talking about with the several small ball looking things on it , and he didnt like them either
  10. i wouldnt bore your stock jugs out to reach 420 just becasue you want a bigger motor... all your doing is bypassing many seasons of life from your cylinders... the gains will be small for the amount of life your going to lose... you got a crank , port your stock jugs... get a new cool head some reeds a stronger clutch pipes pods(if you dont ride in water) list goes on and on
  11. if your trying to polish your stock shifter witht he black paint your going to have to strip it first.... once its to bare metal then you can use your grinder to polish it out... go to lowes and get rogue 5 and 6 for your wheel.... also keep in mind the smoother the surface before you begin polishing the better the shine will be so if need be spend some time and wet sand it down...
  12. to bypass your key follow your 4 wires down to the plug... unplug it , the other half has 2 wires... cut the cap off that side and splice the two wires together and waalaa :thumbsup: edit:oh i forgot to add make sure you get some liquid tape or something like that and seal it up nice... i dont like using electrical tape casue its still exposed and stuff can get in there..biggest thing is tomke sure yo dont short it out on anything but i like mine to be all pretty
  13. they should be fine... call and see how they are valved... pretty much any shock can be valved for jumping, with the exception of maybe shaws and other drag style shocks...

  15. its not that bad... you can get it in using a socket and a small hammer.... its just a tight fit... make sure you use a socket that covers the whole seal so you dont bust the rubber in the center..
  16. i dont know about in your area. but here you can wheel and deal much more on a yfz then you can a honda... i got her bike for 6500 out the door... the trx they wouldnt go any lower then like 7600 plus fees. or something crazy like that... it was an ez choice after that...
  17. man if your still coming lose with loctite your shits rattling like a mother fuker! the LSR , threads on the axel... then it has two hexhead bolt that go oposite sides... you tighten them down and it clamps down on the axle and doesnt let it loosen up

  21. i got my old lady a YFZ450 not long ago... the TRX just doesnt fell as good riding it.... the thing feels like its going to rattle and fall apart... she loves the 450... im getting ready to put some cmas and a new pip on bike after i finish redoing ym bike here in a few months
  22. this might seem like a stupid question but are you taking all the weigth off the swing arm while hitting it or are you just lifting the back of the bike off the ground and trying to beat it out? get a buddy to help you... have hium pull up on the rear and as you hit move the swinger up and down.. once the bolt gets through the first side then he has got to move it up and down and turn it from side to side to help get the tensio off the bolt...
  23. yea i finally got everything running tonight casue we are going riding tomorrow so i had to get it all put back together today they didnt have anything that was protected so i just ot a normal 2 wire toggle switch... i moved my switch under my tank out of site... and i took off the old stock box and replaced my kill switch witha cr250 kill switch... clipped all my old tors and rewired it all and made it nice looking... to my amazment everything worked first try im the worst electrican too, but i spent the extra time and did everything right and soldierd everything and used plugs instead of just getting getto and twisting wires and using tape
  24. you know what the rate needs to be for the switch? i just got one for 10A at 125VAC 6A at 250VAC...its a heavy duty SPST toggle swicth im in no way electronically inclined so i dont know what to look for..
