  1. So what kind of cam are you running?
  2. It looks fake. If it was a fresh wound it would be bloody. And if it isn't fresh why does he have black residue on his ass, black residue that looks like charcoal.
  3. I don't know the exact specs between the two carbs to list off the exact differances. The slides are differant, the way the carb pulls fuel through each jet is differant. the adjustments are differant. PJ's use the choke nob to set idle. there are several things that are differant, but the main reason people get them is they are more simple to tune, and are a more common carb now days. like I said either carb will do, they just have thier differances, I first had PJ's and sold them for some PWK's. Then I sold the PWK's and went to alky Mikunis, and I just got a set of Lectrons that I am going to try out when I get back to the states.
  4. The PWK's are alot more simple to tune IMO. They are also desired by most rides so if you want to sell them later you will be able to sell them faster more then likely. Over all both carbs are good carbs. They are just differant designs. Most people favor the PWK's
  5. It seems 50/50 on RS. I have had good luck with mine I guess. I haven't had any problems with it.
  6. the PJ is an older carb. Do your self a favor and just get the PWK.
  7. They are not used. They are for differant size domes. Chariot includes then incase someone needs that size. You will have two orings left over.
  8. Both are driven by centrifugal force. As they spin the fingers on the DD or the balls on the SS create extra pressure to the clutch plates making it hold more power.
  9. pull the carbs and remove the slides. feel the slides and see if they have any burrs on them. if they do sand them off with so fine grit wet paper. the only way that your going to get all the sand out for sure is to slipt the motor and clean it. You can try to flush it out using gas and dumping it out, but your not going to have perfect results. make sure when you tighten the filters you dont go too tight, and if your clamp isnt seated nice and tight up around the bell of the carb your just going to have the filters continueing to fall off.
  10. Bingo! They have some damn fast 4 strokes out there! More importantly, it's going to be who can setup thier bike better and who is the better rider.
  11. it usually get so stiff you cant squeeze it. The Cascade pancake is actually made by Packard. The allen head is the way to go.
  12. Make sure you have the pressure plate lined up right. On Hinson billet clucthes they have little dots that have to be lined up on the pressure plate and the inner hub.

  14. In this economy you will never get 7500. Even though it would cost someone well over that amount to build something them self. If you want $$$ your best bet is to part it out. If not keep holding out for a trade. I have a ton of money wrapped into my bike, but I would never get a fraction of what I would be willing to let it go for so it will sit in my garage before I give it away like most peole think they will pay.
  15. Send BK_Banshee a pm on here. The dude does amazing chrome! He did a shit ton of chrome for me. I will never use a differant chromer after seeing the quality of work he does. I am sure a whole frame isnt going to be cheap, but you would have to ask a chromer to get a amount as I have only seen picts of one frame that was actually chromed.
  16. I ran both when I was on gas. When I changed to alky my bike wasn't tuned but the more timing I put on the cdi the better it ran. And that was with 7 on the plate. I have heard some people say run one or the other, and some people say it doesn't matter. I personally don't have that much time playing with them to tell you from experiance.
  17. If you have the means to a dyno and the programing software you can run a dyna, if not just stick with a stocker
  18. Damn Pablo, it's about time you got that baby powder coated!
  19. If it is true, it's about time. It is a reflection of their customer service! Unfortunately I doubt this is the case. They are centered right in the middle of some of the richest people in San Diego. Guys go in there all the time and pay full MSRP on bikes and jet skis all the time. Went to their site and didn't see anything that would suggest that this is happening.
  20. You can use just run of the mill ATF type F
  21. Wrong section. There is a WTB section right below this one.
  22. HOLY cat shit batman!!! your buddy has got some crazy fucking paint skills!
  23. All the goo dplaces that used to be in SD are now gone because of all the EPA BS. Most of the shops that still offer chroming don't do it in house. They take your stuff to T.J. Send Bk_Banshee a pm on here, tell him I sent you. He did my chroming. TOP notch! he also chromes aluminum. Spend a little extra to get a GOOD chrome job or your going to have issues.
  24. Lol Austin it looks like we may have a "side job" to take care of! Can't have all that competition running around out there! Brandon, what pict you referring to?
