my compression is around 110 both sides and the carbs look a lil worn but nothing serious. i stuck my fingers in the ports and tried to move the pistons around and they are fine the reeds and cages look fine so i narrowed it down to the TORS but im not sure at this point.... i mean it sounds like it runs fine for 2sec then cuts off.. would that be the TORS?

okay i did nothing major cept a dyna FS ign and water impeller and my dad flooded the piss out of it one day without telling. i have the choke out gas on first kick runs for 2sec then quits then the kick start will get hard to press then it backfires. it ran perfect 2 weeks ago then my dad touched it and now its fucked up all i have done was clean it every day detailing every lil detail to go ride this weekend but holy fuck. i put new plugs in checked the wires (would it be the TORS?) and i might clean out the carbs but i hope its nothing bad internally.... ::

tie one end of the chain to a tree and the other to your car/truck and see if it fits then? :tongue:

oh thanks man thats small...... lol any ideas on what size jetting? im in chesapeake Virginia idk what height im at but near sea level i guess i got 180-270 size jets

ive got brass jets EVERYWHERE in my parts box and i have no clue what size they are is there anyway on finding out what sizes there are i might make it a lil fatter because i have a Dyna FS box and may have to jet it so help me out.... thanks for the imput but me and my dad are too injured at the moment to lift it (my shins smacked the bars) and i can hardly walk but i will try this weekend if im better but ya ima redo the whole thing very soon with some YFZ450 shocks redline fluids and flush my rad. and get rid of some usless crap like the TORS and other crap... :yankyank: cant wait

:shrug: i need to get YFZ 450 shocks for less than 400 brand new and without paying online, (unsercure network) and my dad also.... so is anyone selling on here with a number and maybe a cash order or a company that sells them i looked up yamaha OEM shit and it says 750 bucks for new YFZ's and it says 330-350 each (rip off) so..... help me out

Ya thats what im thinking but anyway water did get into the box but not through the filter. i use a water resistant filter treatment but im not sure if it works on K&N type filters. i cover the filter ends with grease, i checked the inside before the carbs and it was dry so lucky me

I flew into a creek and the banshee was 1/2 way under water on its side but it still ran fine, better than it ever has for 4-5 hours after that but i wasnt sure if my clutch got wet or not because i was either spining or slipin the clutch, anyway should i change all the fluids just in case or should it be fine??

so whats the max rpm 10k-12k? :shoothead: i think in the 12k range it would throw something lol

well i was in a new area just warming the shee up and its all well and good to go and i went a little too fast around a seemingly easy bend but i cut the wheels and nothing and i was toped out in 3-4th and i didnt want to tip it so me and shee took a dive into a creek i go face first into the creek and my goggles sucked off my helmet and i was atleast 10ft from the shee and it was on its side halfway sunk so i go tip it right side up waved over a buddy by the trucks i checked the airbox no water... lucky and so i kicked it over and started right up normally so after we got done facing the front toward dry land went back grabed a strap and do i dare say what pulled me out..... if you must ask, ask in the post anyway i got on the pulling wheeler and yanked it out and drove back and i got messed up pretty bad i got a good size lump on my left shin with a nasty paintball looking spot on the top and my right knee is jacked up its hard to bend it so if it kills me tomarrow i will go see the doc and demanded boots the next time i go out.......oh and i will be sure to give yall trail riders and ppl that go by "if you dont get hurt your not playing hard enough" and find out the filter treatment stuff that saved alot of my bikes from drowning...

well from that video the car must have a 2speed powerglide with some other snit but thats nothing compared to a 1600whp street driven 6spd supra full interior runing low 9's hahaha now thats over kill i got to look for that video somewhere

as it says ive been riding since i was 4 or 5 but one day was one of the most painfull i have ever experinced i was out on a long ass trail with my pops and it was a good 60mile course we rode about 20miles of it and the KX100 (not trail bike 100) started acting up (brand new) just broke in a few weeks back (2001) and the bitch quit after a trail break so i got tired of kickin the bitch and finally got it started and reved as much as i could and poped the clutch the front came up and i had no control and on the top of 1st i hit a tree and slid up the bike and tackled the tree(chest pro. helmet) and it so happens a doctor on a huge ATV with no helmet and so is the rest of his family (no helmet also) comes up and starts feeling on my shoulder like i broke my col. bone when i was holding my wrist so i walk it off and my dad decides to turn around and come back (lol) and i get back on and it starts fine then i feel a sharp pain in my wrist after i pulled the clutch in so i start riding and hit a few ruts ect. and i feel something moving not good i broke my arm and i had to putt putt 3 miles on it in 1st gear not fun..... i hates me some 2 wheelers so we still have it and it hasnt ran since and has not more than 5hours on it and looks showroom condition lol but this day is one of many painfull events in my life like being shot turkey hunting..... that pissed me off anyway i hope this is the right place to post about complaining about shit lmao :baseball_bat: peace :baseball_w00t:

after riding all day with the thumb throttle i tend to twitch my clutch hand, left foot, and thumb (reflexes lol) during sleep :shrug: :shoothead: eat a facking banana it works great for that shit after riding for hours

thats what i was hoping but i was testin just how fast it was on the street i dont ride on the street much cept that one time im mostly on dirt or gravel

thanks for the input so i should just leave the stock setup until i do a cub setup and also i run threw the gears like nothing but anyway i would need shocks or something because i hit the to pof 5th gear the quad starts to shake and 6th gear it climbs steadly but it shakes violently (on the street havent found a nice open dirt or sand spot just yet)

my setup as you can see is basic and im planing on a head, jetting,and timing i just want to touch 90 or so and if it can do it now? and i do anything that is near wide trails, MX, sand, streets, ect.. so im just wondering

well i had the thing less than a year and is also my first quad and the 3rd one i ever rode lol the only thing i did was tire slime the tires and put a uni filter in it and pulled all the gay stickers off it
