  1. 1. Around 90 hp with the right set-up; clutch, timing and chassis 2. Stock trans with some different set-up option and oh plenty of clutch work 3. Mid - high 1.3 range when right 4. You are low balling on the rpm range 5. Depending on fuel used, 1 year and up to 2 6. I doubt it 7. You said it not me. We will be running our cars at the National Open in 2 weeks. Bryan
  2. Yes, that's us and I remember your green truck. The Banshee can be a real pain in the ass, but the thrill you get out of it is hard to describe. I've raced everything from a 7 sec truck to slow street vehicles and everything in between. I'll be 49 this year and that damn quad is a load of fun, when you have it right! Here's a couple of examples of what can be done. My sons desert Banshee: stock motor, with pipes, after market head, advanced timing, asphalt tires and struts replacing the shocks. Has ran consistent mid to low 13s with him weighing 200+ lbs. A good friend and very experienced quad asphalt tuner. They have the same basic motor set-up with custom bolt on chassis parts and a 110 lb. rider have been in the 11s. The best thing you can do is come out to the track and bring a note book. Our 1st race with the quad is planned for the Divisional in Mar. other than that all the points races. I'll be more than glad to help out, but I really need to explain in person what you are in for, let me know!
  3. Did you post up anything on your WCR fiasco anywhere?
  4. I don't think so, Skip runs ATVDRA if that helps out any.
  5. The OP asked for feedback and I'm providing my opinion based on some of the experience listed below. I gave Greg more than enough opportunities to fix his shit. He didn't and I had to correct the problems myself. Not a fan at all of his POS 1-4 and a 1-6. I don't know what's worse, his customer service/lies or his transmissions. #1 trans 1-6, didn't hold up to the first launch. #2 trans 1-6 would shift into 4th gear. #3 trans 1-6 would go into 4th gear. He ask me how many runs was on it and I stated 4 and told him I was leaving for the Wicked Race. He said it would be fine, but he would build me a back up #4 trans 1-4. Hauled it 2,300 miles back East. Put 3 more runs on #3 trans 1-6 and it wouldn't shift into 4th. So, Skip and I decide to put in trans #4 1-4. Should have known better another POS. We used some backyard machining and fixed the problem. I forgot he was supposed to call us back to help us figure out the problem with #4. Guess what, 2 years later and still no phone call. LOL Anyway, Trans #4 is still working, but no thanks to WCR. Now, for trans #3 that wouldn't shift into 4th. I did some machine work and got it to shift into 4th. We found another problem with #3 trans it eats the front single shift fork in about 20 runs. So, with around 30 total runs on #3 trans 1-6 his transmissions are still a POS. This is how we ride our quad at the track. We push it everywhere with a 150cc scooter. It gets pushed to start line, we make a full throttle run, it come to a complete stop/shut the motor off, down shifted and finally pushed back to the pits. I had zero problems with my 1st override and made 400+ 1/4 runs before it wore out. Plus we didn't have to push it everywhere. BK
  6. That has been the problem with all 4 of his transmissions I got. As for the guy that's going to purchase the 1-5 drum, Good Luck!
  7. Have you taken a good look at his machine work! A two year old would probably do a better job. Our very first override not cut by HACK WCR, lasted 400+ 1/4 mile runs with out even changing a shift fork. We have made another 200+ runs with 4 of his POS transmissions and we are constantly replacing shift forks. The only reason the last two HACK WCR transmissions work is because we corrected his machine work. Now if you want to believe in all of his circus gimmicks. That's fine, but please don't tie the HACK with mainstream motorsports. The below thread will give a small look of my experience with them. Post #4 & #6 should be an indicator. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=132863&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1
  8. Here's a vid I found a while ago. I thought I found info somewhere else that the motor is a 535. I think they mention it as a 500 in the coments section.
  9. You will have pros & cons with any motor size. A few quick concerns about these larger motors is the piston weight & depending on the stoke, the piston speed.
  10. Some of the fastest 1/4 asphalt quads out there are 535cc and smaller. The 1st consideration you should worry about is getting the motor to stay alive that long. I recommend staying with one of your 535 engines to learn the set-up. BK
  11. You have to find out what works for your set-up! I was trying to give examples on what can be done without a dry hop or burnout. BK
  12. Synchromax is a manual transmission fluid that increases performance and the life of your equipment. It improves shifting, reduces gear noise and increases power transfer to the wheels. It also lowers operating temperatures and provides outstanding wear protection for longer transmission life. Synchromax is recommended for manual transmissions that specify an automatic transmission fluid. It’s also ideal for 4×4 transfer cases and motorcycle gear boxes. Synchromax is fully compatible with all types of friction materials. It provides excellent corrosion and oxidation protection without affecting the soft metals commonly found in manual transmission synchronizers.
  13. Here's an idea! No burnout or dry hop and able to run low 6's 1/8 and low 10's 1/4 mile. We did do 3 burnouts this year out of 90+ plus runs. The sole reason was to take the glaze of the tires. BK
  14. Royal Purple Synchromax is the proper brand product to use. We use it on our asphalt drag quad and it works great. Would I spend the money to use it on any other application, probably not! Too pricey $13-$14 a quart. BK
  15. You flop more than a fish out of water.
  16. You are supposed to be able to buy the rulebook at NHRA.com. I think they are $10, but I couldn't find on their web site. As an NHRA Member we have to log-in and get it electronically.
  17. You need to get your facts straight, Boy! The reaction times are posted on the score boards before the E.T. and MPH come up. 1st run we had a .047 reaction to the bikes 2. something reaction. The second run we had a .062 reaction to the bikes 5.06 reaction. You need to finish school or stop the shit spewing out your mouth and onto the keyboard.
  18. Vegas is an NHRA track and They follow the rules pretty good. I'm sure the front brakes would be enforced, but not sure about the plastics. This year we ran with no rear fenders and nothing was said. Are you from Vegas and what do you ride?
  19. That's why you threw the "haha" on the end. You tried to stir the pot and got called on it.
  20. Bansheeboy didn't put all the pieces of the puzzle together! We started running asphalt in 2005 on alky. Jan. 2008 we decided to swtich to race gas. The video was taken our 1st time out on gas. Now if you look at the time slip date May, 2008 we had made a great improvements on the tune-up. Plus, we were at a different track with a lower altittude. Now, if you have a point to be made. Grow some balls, pull your head out of you mudflower and spit it out; Boy! BK
  21. Yep, so what's your point.
  22. You keep focussing on your mph and that's part of the equation, but not the most important!
  23. Yep
  24. Too much compression!
