  1. when you installed the crank did you have the pins on the bearings lined up in the groove on the case before you put the top half of the case on and torque it? even if the seals are in groove but the bearing pins arn't, the cases won't seat down properly

CDIs rarely go out.if you did all the above,do the both of you have the tors shit removed with all the plugs that go with it? check your grounds and harness plugs. or if u have another wire harness,swap it out.chances are its in the harness wiring somewhere or the tors bullshit if u still have it on.good luck with it
  3. cant test a cdi.only the coil and stator with ohms. cost bout 50 bucks or so for a used one. look at minkia38's auction on ebay.Ray's a good guy to deal with
  4. run struts also in the winter.marvin in the rear at the dunes. i run just a square tube in the rear on ice.its not adjustable lol but it works for now
  5. lol.well fellas i got her running!! :biggrin: just a pure rookie mistake.when i took the carbs off to do a little cleaning i didnt even check to see if the floats were moving properly. and my FIANCE says and i quote " did you take the floats off and clean inside the needle seat" LOL and sure as shit there was 2 pieces of sand stuck in there!! lol what a girl huh!?! so shee rips and runs awesome but now just gotta adjust the clutch from the set screw thingy.shee moves but when i hit high gear and bop the throttle it feels like the clutch is partly pulled in thanks for the replies though fellas,the CDI was gonna be my next step
  6. well after a whole rebuild on the trail shee and with some help from Dave (thanks bro) to get spark,only one side runs. i threw a rod bearing so i bought a crank and a set of stock cylinders and pistons.got it all back together and now only one side runs. average stock banshee with T-5 pipes,stock carbs TORS revoved with 270 mains and 30 pilots. 115 compression on both and it holds when its dead cold and i start it it fires on both cylinders but soon as it warms up the left side stops firing.it just shoots out cold exhaust with little pressure while the right side sounds awesome and rips. i swaped out the coil and stator and flywheel and checked the pick up coil gap and i got nothin.so im lost and pissed off and im gonna burn this mother f*cker to the ground here pretty soon ideas would do me good right about now,thanks fellas

  8. agreed...toss it and run stock rollers and a guide.you're good to go after that. as mentioned, keep an eye on your sprockets.you dont want to end up with a case break.

  13. had the same thing happen in my silencer.i took a piece of galvanized tube and screw clamped that bitch back together lol.works like a charm :biggrin: plus if im spending anymore money on pipes it sure not gonna be these pt highs.i love em but just not for my set up but yea the pipe and clamps work fine if ur tight on cash at the moment
  14. i cut mine on a spare of the moment kind of deal after a barrel roll off a table top.didnt have the weed wacker string handy to stitch it up right then :biggrin: .so i took the dremel and cut off wheel and went to town. i like it,no regrets.but now its also a drag bike and only ride in sand and ice so not much comes up at me

  16. yea i bought one yesterday.1.99 had my handy little coupon for it lol. i tested the resistance on the stator and one of the readings is off.but then i tested it on my drag bike which runs and i got the same reading.i dont know wtf is up.maybe im doing it wrong or got the setting on the omemeter wrong hell i dont know

  21. yea if i dont figure it out by then that"d be cool dave,thanks.im layed off right now so i have all the time in the world : ) any idea on the antifreeze leak? its coming from that alluminum tube thing that goes into the side of the case.the hose is tight...im out of ideas now lol
  22. and also the clutch lever is hard as a mofo to pull in and sticks a little on release.is there a way to grease the cable or something? probably something common sense but i havent a clue lol
  23. after the new rebuild again on the trail shee seems i have no spark.quads been sittin for 2 years in the garage and i just rebuilt the motor from bottom up and tossed it in last night.first thing i got antifreeze leaking, looks like from the tube that goes into the clutch cover from the case.but i replaced the o-ring on it so i dont know why its leaking... and now second i have no spark,i was wondering whats the first thing i should check before i start swaping shit from the drag bike.i dont have and omemeter so i gotta swap shit out..advice would be appreciated..thanks guys
