  1. no, another buddy has A bombardier &he out runs everybody (4x4's, 800 & he give me A good run in 4x4 & soft soft sand) everybody's tired of it (he loves to run his mouth, all in fun, but it gets old) & my buddy wen't to our local shop & they hooked him up but can't get the belt to hold up. I think he is ordering clutch setups but they stall high & come in hard (kind of A pain w/ normal riding). Thanks I'll tell him I thought I would ask. They are all 4x4's heavy bikes so, belts & nitrous are A bad combo.
  2. not steeling your thread but; what would be the result of getting A drag port & running fatty's, ect... other than not using the full potential of the port job?
  3. heyDallas A buddy of mine just put nitros on his polaris & cant keep the belt from slipping on the button, have you heard of any fixes, don't know how mutch investigating you did before you bought it?
  4. I'll be there sun (finals)
  5. welcome to the HQ tampa, we've been ridding at suburban estates, & ocala
  6. My 87 did the exact same thing I got tired of it one day & started beating on everything ( 1 at A time &checking for spark) when I beat on the cdi I got spark, so i beat the crap out of it & worked fine ever since. I'm not telling you to do that, just saying the cdi will do that. some people have said the cdi either works or it doesn't but I disagree. Mine also seamed to start every time I pull started it but that sucked so that's when I got out the hammer. This was after I tested the stater, wires, unplugged the tors ect. EDIT: oh yea mine never died it just wouldn't start that part was probably your melted wires??
  7. I HATE CHANGE! I'll get used to it, keep up the good work Lee Just got A new lap top & logged on & WTF I thought the other was easier on the eyes.
  8. YOUR WHAT :: you didn't drink & do something stupid did you :shoothead:
  9. probably not , real busy, wife has class, & i'm not taking my daughter there during hunting season again :: Gary has property closer to you guys & we will be getting another date together soon, its alot better than any place we've been the only kicker is it's locked up tight & no facilities. It's like A hunting camp (w/o the hunters) many owners & hundreds of acres of every thing but hills (big ones anyway) & we would have to meet at a certian time so Gary doesn't have to keep going to the gate his "lot" is pretty far back, but there is a parking lot at the front for every body w/o 4x4 to park & unload. I'll keep you posted
  10. there is A stolen one pinned in gen. discussion .
  11. link post 13 has alot of info in it no installed pix but?
  12. murphy makes what they call switch gauges they have an adjustable tattle tail that grounds against the needle & grounds a wire comming out of the gauge. You just hook it up to your ignition to ground it when it reaches set temp. Ijust bought some comp. fans to try csrmel's set up
  13. I finaly checked mine w/ 20 cc, +4 @sea level cold 150psi wasn't to happy been running110 just incase & want to go to 50/50 or 93 . there is a chart on here some where to get close but mine was off?? so average hrs & cold so ??
  14. If you have to ask that you prob. shouldn't
  15. well said wesw The only time I can run mine that hard for that long is on the flat track & its at night & it runs cool (170* F. ish) Like wesw said its an air flow prob usually only runs hot (220* F) when putting around ,in soft sand, or doing donuts, &I do the same just set for A few or get good air flow at mid rpm & you can watch the temp drop.
  16. 99 where do you ride at in ocala?
  17. It varies ALOT when i'm putting w/ my daughter or in soft sand i'll shut it down or air it out at 220* (seen 240* :shoothead: & still didn't boil over) or so , if you have air flow170-180 ish. I couldn't believe the differance just being in front or back of the pack makes i've seen a 20* differance. I wasn't trying to be a jerk, I just know how hot they run w/o any signs & would recommend everyone putting A gauge on there shee its the first mod I did . In the perfect world you have enough space & riding w/ people who go fast enough all the time not to worry about it, BUT ?All it is is An air flow prob. just go faster & it cools down.
  18. B.S. you don't have a temp gauge do you, I'll bet you run ALOT hotter than you think. slow trails or doughnuts w/o airing it out your going to run hot.
  19. yea hit us up, I live 20 min. from there haven't been there for years to many woops , but that seems to be the case every where ::
