Since I've been here last I. . . earned Eagle scout, turned 18, graduted HS, and got a 91 geo metro (dont laugh its a college comuiter, i still have the F-150) CONGRATS!!!! waiting (PROCRASTINATING) until you are almost 18 sure makes it tough. My son did the same thing. It sure helps when you get most of it done before girls[/u][/i], cars, job ect. come into the picture!
  2. cool that looks like where we go in holopaw (osciola co.) sp? my buddy I only banshee's though, the rest are 4x4 but there fun to watch what tires do you guys use in the sand (fla sand different than up north)

  4. verry low rpm rev limmiter takes over so you dont ride w/ P- brake on. if you disconnect it: there is a sensor on the lever that the two wires have to be connected together, or if you left linkage on & just removed the cable you can wire up the lever so that it pushes the senser in. It will start & idol but wont rev. above an idol (verry low rpm rev limmiter takes over so you dont ride w/ P- brake on)

"I removed the wires from the pirtch, cut and connected them. still wont run right. it sounds like that is the problem though. thats all i did since it was running. which was only a couple months ago. also when it isn't running i had it in gear and pulled the clutch and tried to push the bike and it wont move. but when i had it running i pulled in the clutch and popped it in gear and it just sat there. sounds like the brake system. this all happend once i removed my parking brake" my P-brake lever was wired together (where the cable used to hold it against the sw.when it was in the off position) when I bought it, it had the e- brake cable removed , but that sounds correct to hook then together?? Check your wires maybe 1 is cut therefore not completing curcuit (sp) that sounds like your prob. it cuts your ignition out (like A rev limmiter) just above an idol if your p-brake is on (or it thinks it is on) tors is another prob. for later it kills ignition completely when your carb's stick wot & it senses your throttle lever is at idol
  8. I did the same thing. Put your mods in your sig. it will help alot in the future w/ diagnosing (sp)
  9. in fla. my ins. is $15 A month W/ $50 deductable . Had my '87 stolen 3 yrs ago , finaly replaced it ,had ins. the day I took it home . just got A $800 check in the mail for bent axil & misc. Definatly well worth it! hope you have better luck than me still missing I still have my drain plug , hope they never checked oil & it locked up wot in 6th gear (that thought is the only good thing) wish I Knew? good luck!!
  10. banshee's run hot when trail ridding SLOW or SOFT sand (putting w/ 4 pokers & kids) Iput A fan on my '87 shee & will be putting one on my '04 when ridding w/ my daughter it heats up quickly w/ no or little air flow. most people dont use temp gauges I guess?? I don' t see many post about it so here is my .02. still take A shee ,w/ fan If needed, over 4 poke though

" If you want to bypass it just unplug the little black box under the tank on the left side" my buddy has an '06(stock) & it just died no spark tried un plugging black box & still no spark if you blip the throttle it 1/2 fires & dies. pull started it blipping the throttle & it started & ran fine the rest of the day is there any thing else that needs to be un plogged?? (pulled throttle cover & micro sw. was clicking ??; no meeter w/ us ??)

  15. sheeeeee's back ,well sorta previous owner removed p-brake cable & wired up the mechanism (because of +2 extention??) & apparently that switch cuts ignition out @ 4000. 4,000 to 17,000 at Apush of a button. A bent rim wasn't the only thing bent ,three cracked ribs/bent axil I'd say it was pretty even .thanks for all the help. read posts for years glad to join!! hope this will help you mudpuppy? posting my mods would have probably helped how do I put them at the bottom of my posts?

  17. normal, it doesn't rev so it doesn' t clear out ,but normal
  18. not A scratch on the exh. & it seems to be flowing good. reved it up again & it seems to hit twice on left cyl. twice & then right twice, not exact but pretty close??
  19. all tors stuff gone my buddy drove it off the track for me &he doesn't recall any power prob. then Iwill check my exh. though if you hold it wot you can see smoke alternating l&r if my exh is plugged my spark would still be normal??
  20. 2004 banshee flipped 3 weeks ago (bike survived alot better than me, or so i thought). finaly able to ride again she started 1sk kick, warmed er up & she wouldn't rev, no power @ all .checked plugs & they were wet, changed them still the same. holding wot no spuddering or popping (just cutting out cyl's?) it sounded like it had a weak rev limiter set just above idol. pulled plug wire off of 1 cyl.(while running ) it sparks good (normal) at idol , as soon as you crack the throttle the spark goes down to about 1/4 what it should be? anybody got any ideas?It sounds similar to your prob. except I am pretty sure mine is ignition?? Banshee's dont have factory limiters do they?
