260 with stock pipes is rich- they come from the factory with 190-210. Check the plugs, they will tell the jetting story. Also when u pulled the carbs apart did you clean them? Your post doesnt say one way or the other. I would suggest that you do if you havent allready.

Thats odd, maybe a CDI acting up? Shouldnt be the coil seeing as the stock banshee coil throws spark to each cyl with every stroke. Have any buddies with the same year model banshee? Maybe u can try switching parts off theirs untill u find it?

Just watch the plugs, they will ALWAYS tell you if your motor needs more/less fuel, or if you are having detonation problems, etc etc. Other than that I think you will be ok on 97 octane, if need be try a race/pump fuel mix.

I have a 97 F-150 Ext Cab with the 5.4. I personally hate it, its a POS- altho just cruising down the highway its much more confortable than my 4dr HD Chevrolet. As for towing, we use the F-150 EVERYDAY to pull a 14' landscape trailer packed with as much shit as we can get on it...it pulls ok, nothing to brag about. My HD pulls anything I put behind it ( Gas 6.0l ) If you are just looking for an everyday riding around with the occasional pullin the F-150 is not a bad choice, I still preffer Chevrolet if you are lookin for a 1/2 ton.

Before I got my override, I just held the throttle and slapped the clutch when I needed to shift. If you time your foot and your hand with each other, u shouldnt hurt anything...maybe just wear ur clutches a little bit quicker.

I want to trade the DG Head pipes for stock or FMF or Pro Circuit because i don't like them DG's are WAY better than stock!!!! Keep ur DG's unless u find something else....u'll regret it if u swap back to stock.
