  1. Thanks for the info Tyler, but might be a little too early for me....partner of mine is moving to NJ on Aug 30, and expecting a new born at the same time, so planning for 2013.
  2. Not too worried about the asphalt. I can usually remain calm until I get to the sand....
  3. Short version is I'm planning a dune trip from NJ and don't want to drive for more than 24 hrs. Which would you do.....Silver Lake or Little Sahara. Planning an entire week for the trip and 2-3 people. I'm leaning towards Little Sahara being the camp grounds have ride up dune access. The way I plan on traveling is with a 4 door F-150 and 7x14 enclosed trailer. Plan on camping in the trailer and chaining quads up to it at night. So now I need your opinion and info of either place. Money is not a factor here just time and the best bang for the buck. At this point these are the only 2 choices since the year after I'll be doing Glamis. Let me know what you think. Thanks. George

  9. I've got a set of Douglas Red Labels .190 size 10x8 with 3+5 Offset in a Yamaha Bolt Pattern (05 shee) for sale. I used them on a dune bike. They are in need of a polish or powder coat. No warps or bends what so ever. Minor dings from mounting and removing tires. Nothing a polish or powder coat won't blend in nice. $80 shipped to the lower 48 states.

  14. KOA is a lot nicer and is fairly cheap if you're not alone. As for the online test....seemed like common sense to me. I think it timed me out once and then I was good to go.
  15. I feel ya man. I got a Glock 23. I've put about 5,000 rounds through it and never ever had a jam. Got a few friends with sigs and they seem to jam.
  16. Thanks for the links.....Just so everyone knows, I ditched the AMA logo and am going with another custom flag. Basically the glock logo and one side of th eflag will say "Warning protected by glock" and the other side will say "I practice my 2nd Amendment rights"
  17. OK guys...calm down a notch. I do not support, like, or dislike the AMA....Basically like the logo. Thats it. I like the red, blue, and then white. Yeah, yeah, I know it's copyright infringement or something liek that. If anyone can design a similar logo I'll get it put on a flag. So like I asked before, anyone know where I can get a custom flag made?
  18. Anyone know where I can get a custom flag made for my whip? Been looking and can't find anything. I don't want anything too crazy, just the AMA logo for the quad and one for the dirtbike. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Not a shee but I pay $60 a month through progessive via USAA for: 01 GSX-R 750 09 YFZ 450R 06 RM 250 05 400 EX Just piece of mind.
  20. Been a while since I been here and on the shee. I'm still on a Yamaha.....just the "R". Anyhow, I'm down. In my few experiences for Oregon dunes in April and May you run a higher risk of rain. June and July are prime, but I can't make it due to me being deployed right now......On a side note, there is a group of about 15 localish guys that have a trip planned for 13-20 Aug 2011 camping at the KOA. Most of the guys are banshee guys. The person that got it together and will be there also is Chad, screen name sandman.
  21. I'll be there for Sandfest 2011....got a kabin reserved at the KOA campgrounds for 1-5 July. Unfortunately I no longer ride a shee. I got a hold of some Jeffroids and scraed the $hiat out of me so I now ride a 4 poker. Might do a build though just for the event.
  22. Sale pending...
  23. I have for sale 1 set (2 rims) of Douglas Red Label rims. These rims have one ride on them in the sand. No dents or warps of any kind. There are very minor scratches on the rims from cleaning. No curb rash. These rims were on a Blaster. Bolt pattern is 4-100. If you got/can get a set of Blaster hubs then you're in business to put these on almost all Yamahas. Price is $80 shipped to lower 48 states.
  24. The story is.....I took 8 months building it for 1 Oregon trip. I made the trip and flipped the shee about 6 timnes the last day in Oregon. So if it makes any sense I got the trip I dreamed of as a kid out of it. Only reason I sold it was because for me to fix it the right way and be happy would run me $600. Yeah, I could have fixed it for $50, but I don't half ass anything. I have more money than time at this moment in life and don't have time to turn wrenches on a shee. Hell, I didn't even jet the shee. Also, I had a very close personal friend of mine get killed in a similar situation. It hit too close to home, and I'm deploying in August. I want something that I don't have to wrench on as much. Planning on getting the new YFZ 450R with the fuel injection, aluminim frame, etc. when I get back. As soon as I have a kid, another shee will be in my life. Until then, I'll stick with my dirtbike. Thnaks everyone.
  25. Sorry guys the shee is officially sold. Thanks for the love over the years and thanks for making this build possible. George.
