  1. The front two studs are longer then the rest.
  2. Either the dealership or Les shwaub will have the machine to do it.
  3. You need to find out from the guy you got them from if he had a stroker crank in it or a stock stroke long rod crank in it(IE port timing). If he ran just a long rod stock stroke crank then thats what you'll have to get.But if he had a stroker in it with a long rod then you have to buy that kind of crank and I recommend geting stroker domes and not to use the spacer plate. And being that it is a 68mm bore you have to get big bore domes also.
  4. Yeah 29L is factory rod stamping. So It's pretty safe to say you have a stock yamaha crank and rods.
  5. Who's all headed out for saturday the 27th?I'll be there in a red '06 F-250 with plates that say 421ccub on it,Look me up.
  6. Looks to me like if he bought the cylinders and pistons only and put them on his stock stroke crank its pretty obvious that the KEY word here is 68mm pistons IE blaster pistons which are 115 lenght rods not 110mm.I bet if you measure the rods you will get 110 not 115mm's.Anyways that something to check.
  7. Dave,My Mommy always told me to work smart not hard.LOL Tony think about this,At the mountain in the morning it can be in the fourties and later in the afternoon it can get into the eighties So I prefure to run the dial a jet/power jet setup so I don't have to rejet all the time.If you are not looking for optimum performance all the time then you could do without them.I know for me I wouldn't run with out them.
  8. Got some new Mod quad o-rings from him,New as promised Thanks
  9. Spend the extra money and have a road force balance done on them. That way they can actually check for laderal, radial run out, bent wheels, seperated cords and get the actuall road force pounds of the tire and match mount the tires to get the road force pounds down to minimum amounts. You will notice the difference as soon as you get up to freeway speeds.
  10. I'm glad you got er up and running Dave,You guys going to make it over saturday for some hill shooting at the mountain?
  11. Yeah thats more then I want to spend. Thanks though.^^
  12. My pleasure and thank you for trusting my word on the condition of cover.
  13. You want to bring the number up.I'm asuming you're running a mikuni carb sense your sig says 310 main jet?The bigger the # on the jet the bigger the I.D of the jet.
  14. All the banshee shocks are the same 87- current.yfz 450 shocks are longer and require some modifications to install.
  15. It all depends where you live. For example here we have some pretty good temp swings,Sunday it was 77 out and today it's going to be 49.In the summer we are usually around 100 or so and in winter we get to 22-35 most of the time.
  16. Thanks for the bump Matt  Oh and there is no way I could handle the '99.I heard a rumor that it's a cub killer in deskies!!!!
  17. You cant find the exact answer because there isn't one.
  18. Couple of things #1 take some compression out of it.The more there is the hotter it will run.#2 Jetting,Make sure the jetting is good,Even a little rich it will help keep the cylinders cooler. You may lose some performance but it will help keep it from melting itself down.As for the clearance,I would probably set it up at .006 thousandths. The tighter the clearance the more friction it will have and as it gets hot the less clearance you will have causing more friction. There's a few for you,Hope that helps ya.
  19. Should be 14mm
  20. Sounds like to me that you had an intake leak from the start and it got progresavly worse untill it started to melt the piston too.The raw fuel coming out the exhaust was more then likely because it didn't have enough compression to properly combust the alky that was in the cylinder. Another thing to check also is your water pump,Make sure it is turning and the propeler has blades on it.
  21. PM me your paypal addy and I'll send it to you.
  22. I would be more then happy to trade you for my T-5's
  23. Those are just vents for the power valve.Hook a hose on them and run it down your frame rail and under the quad so all the excess oil doesn't get all over your engine and so forth.
