  2. You should be able to swap your harness,I believe that they are the same from 97-2006.You just can't hook up the brake light wires.
  3. One of my freinds banshees had a simular problem,Very hard to start and sometimes would'nt start at all.I believe it was a chafed wire in the harness that would contact ground every so often.My .02 cents.
  4. There is a number scribed on the back side of the gear it should be from 57-65.
  5. Hey Josh,Stock carbs are actually 26mm and no you can't compare the jets they are different brands and they use different parts and numbers.You will need to see what jets are in it and do some plug chops and go from there with your jetting.
  6. I only need the gear if the lash # is correct.So the basket shape is of no inportance.
  7. What back lash # is on the gear and is the gear in good shape(IE) no chips or anything.
  8. I beg to differ,I've had the pro design tether on my banshees and never had to disconnect the switch.I connected mine right at the coil and for the ground I connected it to the top radiater cover mount and it worked perfectly.Just my .02 cents.
  9. I have had both kind of bikes and the crotch rockets handle better and are much easyer to manuver around the cruiser bikes and also I know here at least there are more accedents with cruisers.

  16. I'm not sure I haven't dynoed it yet but it runs 6.2 at 100mph in pavement 8th mile,with knobby tires

We have a winner.It all started when I bought a complete engine that was soposed to be a +4 stroke and +5 long rod built for drag racin.First mastake I believed the guy.So any way I ran the engine twice and it was not very fast so I took it a part and looked at the porting the guy did on the cylinders and it was lets say CRAP.Mistake #2 I didn't look at the crank itself just the pistons and they were 795 series pistons(long rod pistons).So I decided to build my own hense the cheetah p.v. top end and all listed parts.Mistake #3 still didn't look at the crank.I put it all together and wamo the problem I described in listing.So now I do a compression check 85psi so now I'm like wow to small of domes 20cc at 4000 feet.I bought 17cc domes and now I take the head of to instaal the 17cc domes.Mistake#4 didn't look at piston dtc.Installed 17 cc domes now I have 115 psi WTF WTF!!! pulled the head of again and Finally check piston dtc Big gap Duh.tore it all apart and installed the correct crank No problem after that.That was fun right.This sickness with banshees is f-in great.

Ok Guys lets see if any of you can figure this concern out.It's a cheetah power valve top end with stock cr 250 reeds,32mm flat slide carbs,plate set at+4,270 main jets 48 pilot jets needles set in third notch.What happens with this is when I ride it under half throttle it runs great but as soon as I go to half throttle or more it will fall flat on its face and actually almost stop completly.Let me tell you first off that I have allready figured it out but I would like to see if any one else can figure it out,Also buy installing 1.8 air jets in the carbs it helped considerably,HOWEVER THIS PROBLEM IS NOT CARB OR SPARK RELATED.So lets have some fun and see who else may be able to figure it out.

  23. Go with the cpi's.I had t-5's on my cub and then put cpi's on it WOW big power diffarence.
  24. Check your drive and driven gears (crank gear and clutch basket gear)You may have chiped the gears.Sounds just like you have a crank bearing bad.
