  1. They are different sizes and clamp on to the outside silencer body.
  2. Tap them on the side with a rubber mallet. You want glancing motion so it helps pop it out. Keep turning and repeating.
  3. I uses the same brand cleaner as the oil used. Who would of though a company developed a cleaner to remove their air filter oil.
  4. I don't really shoot for any particular number as long as it flows the same. I shoot for the middle range of the gauge.
  5. Carbon fiber is a tough friction material. So it's also tough when it's floating around in the oil. I'd prefer a cork friction material clutch plates. Check out a Fast or drive line clutch.
  6. I usually sync the the idle speed first while there is no tension on any of the throttle cable. Then I adjust the tops. I take the throttle cover off and use a 1/4 extension or small diameter socket to wedge in the throttle housing behind the arm that the cable attaches to. That way it holds the throttle slightly open and keeps the RPM constant as your going back and fourth from carb to carb making adjustments.
  7. I cant even see my lockup after I shut it down. Redline 80w transmission oil totally coats the lens and it doesn't run down very fast.
  8. 3xl Tall fits great. Thanks for getting a few tall's
  9. So if it shits the bed can you afford another crank plus all the other stuff it takes out?
  10. I'd buy the crank from Fast and have them put a better weld on it.
  11. No jetting change will be needed if your only swapping bars.
  12. I don't really notice much when I have mine in and they are clean. When they start to plug up with packing and oil they cause problems. That's why I don't recommend shoving a screen over the end of the core and putting the end cap back on. Its a pain to remove to clean, and there is less screen surface area so it plugs up faster.
  13. Id go z400, KFX400, or DVX400 all the same stuff just different colors or body work. Its water cooled, has a big comfy seat, steers fairly easily, and has a low first gear for starting from a stop.
  14. I wouldn't worry about the headache " Benzene increases the risk of cancer and other illnesses. Benzene is a notorious cause of bone marrow failure. Substantial quantities of epidemiologic, clinical, and laboratory data link benzene to aplastic anemia, acute leukemia, and bone marrow abnormalities.[57][58] The specific hematologic malignancies that benzene is associated with include: acute myeloid leukemia (AML), aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).[59] The American Petroleum Institute (API) stated in 1948 that "it is generally considered that the only absolutely safe concentration for benzene is zero."[60] The US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) classifies benzene as a human carcinogen. Long-term exposure to excessive levels of benzene in the air causes leukemia, a potentially fatal cancer of the blood-forming organs. In particular, acute myeloid leukemia or acute nonlymphocytic leukemia (AML & ANLL) is not disputed to be caused by benzene.[61] IARC rated benzene as "known to be carcinogenic to humans" (Group 1)."
  15. If i was going to spend $140 on a pair of knock off carbs for parts, and spend another $140 bucks and get a pair of PWK28's and have a more modern carb.
  16. IF you swapped to the Alien silencers then you could run a screen style spark arrestor. They have pretty good amount of surface area.
  17. It may look bad but it will flow better than screens. Jamming a screen in the end of the core isn't very good for performance. A screen spark arrestor needs surface area so it doesn't restrict flow as bad. Then when you mix in 2 stroke oil with a little packing they plug up.
  18. Chariot makes a pretty good one piece intake.
