  1. I wouldnt put the boost bottle on because they have been known to cause your intake boots to crack.
  2. How many turns out on the idle / choak knobs are you? Mine are around 7 to 8 turns out from fully closed.
  3. I just go by my water temp gauge. 130 to 150 deg and then i take it easy for a while. The thought of cold pistons at 10,000 rpm isnt pretty. ::
  4. It is kind of dirty. HPI MT2. It is a 4x4 stadium truck. I have an .18 OS TZ Turbo engine it it. It is rated at 2.3 HP and has a RPM limit of 42,500. I have the paddles on it for running around on big snow drifts. Deffinatly an adictive hobby. I probably have $1200 or more in this stupid car. I got a box of parts that i could practically build a spare car.
  5. He said above that it was the cheaper F1 lever.
  6. If it just does it the first time you run through the gears i would just say that your just cleaning it out.
  7. I use belray Super Clean. It doesnt really attract dirt. http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDet...mp;navType=type
  8. I think your were looking at Klotz Benol. It says for racing use only. The supertechiniplate is like 80%R50 and 20% Benol Castor oil.
  9. Get you a timing plate. A good port job would be my next mod. That way when you get different carbs you can get a little bigger ones instead of the keihin pwk 28mm ones.
  10. Some stuff came up :: . They are back on the market.
  11. I got to thinking about 28's and i dont think that i want to go that small. I might hang on to these PJ's.
  12. Consider them SOLD You have a PM, and an Email. Let me know josh
  13. You could have the stock head shave for a little more compression. get a 35 dollar timing plate and set it at +4
  14. Possibly want to trade carbs. I have a pair of Keihin PJ34mm carbs on my banshee now and thining about down sizing. Just though i would check intrest. Let me know. josh
  15. When you get a good amount of pressure on the puller. Smack the end of the puller tool with a hammer. Most of the time that will cause the flywheel to pop right off.
  16. Sweet Out Frames Dude
  17. Can you see the number on the front lip where the carb slides in. There are a couple of different bolt patterns that it could be.
  18. Just so you know Yamaha pistons are cast, while weisco's are forged aluminum. Forged pistons can take way more abuse than cast pistons.
  19. What size of carbs is it for? What is the # on the out side lip? It is probably a mikuni carb boot. MIkuni Carb Boot Page LINK Dennis kirk also sells them under there snomobile page. The ones on my Boss Racing intake are the VM34-200-1 Here is the link for the VM34-200-1 boots on denniskirk. Dennisk Kirk Carb Boot LINK
  20. Another thing that can cause sparks to fly is hot carbon. In a machine that burns oil carbon build up can come loose and fly out the exhaust. I ride in a US National Forest so I have to have a spark arrestor. It is a 200 dollar fine if you get caught not having one. If you start the machine back up then it is a nother 200 dollar fine.
  21. Those silencers will only fit FMF SST pipes. The FMF SST pipes are longer so the silencers are shorter. If you have fmf sst pipes they will be stamped on them it will have the fmf logo with sst. You are probably see my old silencers. I sold them to a guy on ebay. After he got them he told me that he wanted his money back and that he would ship them after he got his money. He told me that they wernt for a banshee because they were to short. He had regualr fmf pipes trying to use sst silencers.
  22. There is no oil where the crank runs. The rings being shot has nothing to do with the excessiv smoking. The transmission side of the crank is on the RH side. The oil you check with the dipstick is for the tranny only. It lubes nothing in the engine. There is a seal on the crank to keep that oil out. It goes bad and starts letting oil in to the engine. The excessive smoke on the RH exhaust is from buring trans oil. Maybe you just didnt see the excessive cloud of smoke out one pipe because it was mixed at 24:1. when you cut down the oil mixture to 40:1, Then the LH side cleared up and wasnt foging smoke out the pipe.
  23. I run them too. They seem to do good on my banshee. It is the only set of pipes that I have owned. I need to have a sparkarrested silencer and FMF and PC are the only ones that really make one. Toomey has there hush kit or the sparky but 80 bucks a pice on top of every thing. They should just come with it.
  24. I would use yamabond as well. It is a different material than the rtv gasket maker stuff. It is really thin so i doesnt affect tolarances.
  25. If it is smoking on the rh side check your trans oil and see if it is low. Some times the crank seal goes out and ends up buring sucking in trans oil.
