  1. The only 2 oils you really need to stay a way from for cold weather riding is Klotz Benol and Maxima Caster 927. On both mfg's web page the warn about the oil seperating out at temeratures around 30-35 deg f. Other than that you really dont have to worry about running an oil for cold weather since you premix. Where you run oils for cold weather is when you have an oil injector and you need an oil that will flow at cold temps. Since the oil is in the fuel there is nothing to worry about. josh
  2. I believe you have to bore the old sleeve out since yamaha casts the cylinder around the iron sleeve.
  3. Got the flywheel. Thanks. josh
  4. Yea you need those extra bores when your standard rod stroker crank eats piston skirts. By the way you can run blaster pistons with a 4 mill long rod crank to get your extra .100 bore. All you need is a set of blaster piston stroker domes. josh
  5. I use supertechniplate because it has the best of both worlds. Caster oil is an extreemly well protecting oil, but it is a dirty burning oil. Supertechniplate is 80% synthetic and 20% benol caster oil. So you get better protection but not as dirty burning as 100% benol caster oil. josh
  6. I did it to mine on my raptor. I just lifted the rear tires off the ground. Started it up and put it in 3rd gear. Started out wet sanding with 320 grit 3m sponge. josh
  7. CEL needles middle clip 160 main 48 pilot That should get you started. I dont know what the 18 he said he saw. Maybe he didnt see the 0 and he has 180 mians wich would be way to larg and could cause the problems your having. josh
  8. Post a link. :shoothead:
  9. He is just mad because some one blew up his spot selling USED Toomey Spark Arrestors for the price you can get new ones for. He wants $150 for a pair when you cant get them for $69.99 each, or $139.98 for a set. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=108518 By the way I dont have these any more. I ended up selling them to a friend for $300 josh
  10. And easier to see if the crank seals are holding pressure.
  11. Dan Wade at Patriot Racing would be a close neighbore in Washington. Patriot Racing
  12. So you DISAPPROVE of HQer's watching out for each other? If you want to scew some one go do it on ebay.
  13. 60 for shipping, and no tax on internet sales. :wallbash:
  14. What a nice guy.
  15. I would just order the right one instead of screwing around trying to get a CHEAPER one to fit right. But hay if your time isnt worth buying the right one go make one your self. Get a piece of pipe and a drill.
  16. I would go with PWK33's. If you get the pj's you will deffinatly need a carb sync tool becuase you adjust the Idle speed by turning the choak knob.
  17. I run the tm design works ones. They have a rubber bushing inbetween halfs and they swivel. josh http://tmdesignworks.com/xcart/customer/home.php?cat=299
  18. It should come to a T where the back vent and the vent under the water pump cover come together and then go up twards the steering stem under the fuel tank
  19. I guess that is why I set each dome over the bore then slide the shell over the studs and domes. It also helps to take the radiator hose fitting off the back of the head. That way you dont have to try to fight it too.
  20. There should be a hose that goes on the vent. The hose should be routed up twards the front end. That way when you stand it up oil wont run out. josh
  21. Keihin PWK or PJ's cannot be converted back because the dump tubes (what the needle goes through) have to be drilled out. They cannot be replaced. I belive you can replace the dump tubes on Mikuni carbs though. josh
  22. You want to shoot for 150-155 psi for pump fuel. 20's would be deffinatly on the safe side. What is your octane rating for the premium pump fuel. If you can get 93 then I would probably go with 19's and if it detonates I would just back the timing off a little. Here is a chart on this page. http://www.nossmachine.com/banshee_heads.htm
  23. I guess the people having Hot Rod crank problems must not be on HQ. I have only really herd of one person complian about the flywheel arbor breaking off. I am sure hot rods took care of that problem for them. josh
