  1. The thing I don't like about using a ton of grease is that I don't think it will dissipate the heat as well. I like to leave mostly air, and then just a bit of grease for lubriation. Any of the aftermarket bearings are all sealed, so obviously there is no need to grease them, but I like to have just a little bit of a buffer between the axle, and bearings, and the axle and sleeve.
  2. The sleeve should just sldie off. I wish I saw this thread earlier, pretty much what happened was the bearings were shot and then run for a while after that. This creates a lot of heat, which tends to seize everything up. When I did my bike, I just chucked the whole axle, carrier, sprocket and rotor because it was so bad. When/if you put it back together, tap a grease fitting into the carrier, and lube it every couple of rides. Also, Use a shit ton of PB Blaster and you should be able to break the sleeve from the axle, and maybe have a shot at getting the other bearing out of the carrier. Good luck bro!
  3. Yeah, I'm down, I'll bring my junk down there. I'll PM you for the details, how are the 5-0s there? And how's parking?
  4. Wow! I'd say no way. The suspension doesn't see as much action on the dunes as it would in woods, trails, or MX, although you do have aproblem with the sand. The motor still isn't gonna go in 4 rides unless your runnin' lean or hot. You would do the smae compression check though. I rode dunes a few years back with my Raptor out in Utah, and I think the machine took way more abuse on the MX track and woods.
  5. Gnarlys, Fattys, or SSTs, what kind of silencers? Lemme know, I might be interested.
  6. I have stock lines and brackets off of a 2002 shee, if you wanna trade, lemme know. They are in awesome shape, and work fine.
  7. Same here, awesome guy, wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again!
  8. Uh oh, reppin' Jersey. Nice whip bro!
  9. :ermm: Uh oh, I'm still recovering from my last couple of spills here.
  10. Streets, once it snows. Other then that, my family has a farm in upstate NY, so I go up there for a month every summer, and there are a ton of trails there. I don't get out much otherwise, once in a while a buddy will find some place to go, I was out in the Paiute ATV trail in Utah 2 years ago, and Sproul State Forest out in PA last year.
  11. As the title says, need a YFZ 450 left front side brake caliper. Lemme know whatcha got!
  12. Good lookin' out! I wonder if we can get Lee to change the words above your avatar from Legen to Jerkoff Spotter. :yelrotflmao:
  13. Do you need paddles to run down there? I've never been, all I have is Maxxis 4 Snows, but I can grab some paddles. Hit me up!! I'm down, if anyone close to me needs a ride, I got a truck and trailer, just buy me a beer at the end of the day.
  14. Yeah, if I was going to be doing a lot of jumping, I wouldn't go with it. I'm sure it will hold up just fine a play bike, hitting some whoops, and smaller stuff, but if your gonna be MXing, and jumping(seems you would want a minus swinger in that case), I wouldn't trust it. There's virtually no gussetting on it, and the linkage tabe seems to be kinda thin.
  15. I like it! Looks like a real desert racer, you know what they save, fucntion over form! The hipers really go well with it too.
  16. If I knew a week in advance, I'd definately be down to go! I wanted to get out with you guys for a long time now, but I neer hear too much on here.
  17. Bought some rotors off of him, great price, delievered as promised! Standup guy!
  18. Should have posted a pic I guess, here it is: And here's the cushions you would need: http://www.uppracing.com/item.php?pid=266&cid=71
  19. Wow, nice bike bro. I have a Hinson basket that needs cushions and has a little bit of grooving in the plates. I bought it off of a member on here, and never used it. You would also need to swap the gear with yours. I'll do like 50 shipped on if you want it, it will definately work fine once you change the cusions and gear. Lemme know, Jay
  20. Come on out to NJ! The market ere for banshees SUCKS! Everybody is looking for 450s and 4 strokes because all it is is trails out here, Banshees in god shape go for between 1600-1800, but if you look you can pick them up even less then that. I picked up the 2002 in my sig for 1150, thing was clean as hell, just jetted really rich.
  21. Damn good deal on those pipes, bump for ya.
  22. Stupid question, but any chance you would just sell those PT head pipes, without the silencers? I have Fat Boys allready. Awesome price on them though, good luck with all your stuff.
  23. Hell yeah!! Wish you were closer to NJ, that's a sick deal, could easily be a backup bike!
  24. Nah, I guess I'll get some pictures of them today. I believe the cylinders are on their stock bore, I doubt that the previous owner ever rebuilt the top end, this thing was all stock when I got it. Yamalube, 32:1
  25. Yeah, usually you don't need to rejet for reeds at all.
