I had my PT mids and silencers hit with high temp black PC, holds up fine, looks nice and low key, and holds up well in the mud/salt here in NJ heres a pick before they went on my bike.
-
Guess that could be a selling point there. I really have no use for it, it will hopefully be a long time before I crack the clutch cover again.
-
I was gonna say the same thing, I've never heard of plugs backing out unless there were some engine issues.
-
Thanks dude, these will hit ebay on Monday if they don't find a home! Don't be shy with the offers!
-
Ok, bought this off of another member here because I thought my basket was bad, but it wasn't, so I didn't use it. Here's the deal. The previous owner used a bigger clutch in it, and it wore small grooves in the teeth, you could file them down a little and it would be more then fine, it's only on a couple teeth anyway. Also the gear on the back is too big, so you would have to swap that with your stock gear. There are just 4 allen head bolts holding it on. I was looking for 75 shipped, but I'm open to offers. They go for over $200 new, with a little bit of work, this thing would be good as new. Also, no more paypal unles you want to include the extra 3%, MO preferred.

:yelrotflmao: Finally an honest salesman!! Bump for ya, parts aint cheap or these bikes anymore, they're getting real tough to find. I paid a grip for shit for my 91 yz 80, this would make a killer parts bike for somebody.

All PMs returned. Still for sale, don't be afraid to make offers.

Bought a set of LRD adjustable pipes off him. Awesome deal, and awesome pipes. Standup guy!!

150? On a stock engine? 130 is probably more like it, I think thats the highest Ive ever seen after I rebuilt it and thats at sea level. But yeah, 100 is way low, and if you can't see any crosshatching you probably need a bore and hone. Just my .02.

For those who don't know they are a mid range pipe, and you can use all of your old mounting hardware. Great for trails!

Cleanin' house here, had these layin around, they could use a coat of paint or PC, but otherwise they are fine, have small dents here and there, nothing major. Was thinking like $125 shipped, but I'm open to offers. Pictures worth a thousand words:

This has been covered alot, but, it is not a direct bolt on. You will need to cut the upper a-arm, and put in a spacer, the upper aarm mounts don't mount up if you don't. Most people just run YFZ a-arms, and YFZ shocks(Banshee shocks are too short), but you could do the hubs, spindles, and calipers too. The calipers are dual piston, and I run them on my bike, the stopping power is way way better then stock. Personally, I think you are better ooff buying a used set of +2+1s and getting some cheap works shocks, at least then you have a setup that was made for your bike. Just my .02, a lot of people run the YFZ arms and shocks, and love them.

Nice bike, bump for ya, I'm suprised it didnt go yet, put some lights on it, and it would be one kick ass trail bike.
-
I have LSR +2+1 a-arms if that helps. I've never seen castor adjustable a-arms, so I don't think I do. I see no adjustment that would change the castor of the bike, but I'm all ears if there is, and that was the answer to my problem. I can adjust the camber, I havent yet, right now the ball joints are all the way in, I don't think that would matter as far as the making the tie rods work, but I'm not 100%.

need to get rid of some banshee stuff!

What color are the tie rods? $25 shipped? -
Damn!!! That's a good ass deal for somebody. I paid over $200 for a used set, no pods, these would kick ass on a woods bike.
-
Ok, so I put my front end back together on my frame today, and I'm having a bitch of a time with the tie rods. The bike is up on a jack, and I have +2+1 arms with the longer tie rods. All new ball joints including the tie rod ends. When I steer to full lock though the tie rod ends bind up, I already ripped one boot just playing around with it. I can't see anything that looks weird, nothing seems to be bent, and the alignment looks perfect. If I adjust them longer to the point where theres no binding there is a ton of toe in. I'm lost here, anyone help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Good place to buy a nice jet assortment
LiftdT4R replied to Droppedatbirth's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I got a good assortment of Mikuni jets from like 200 through 380 or so, in a plastic carry case off ebay for like $30, it was a while back, but if you search on the HQ there is a thread about it with the guy's username. He sold a ton of them back when. -
My G-Force held up pretty decent, but it will still pit. When it gets really bad I'll probably just have it PCed, thats the only thing that holds up here in the Northeast. As for not spending any money, how are you gonna ride with no pipes??
-
Only 2?? Sounds like you have just as many as me, and sounds like you know the ropes! Best advice I've heard so far. The prosecuters always plays let's make a deal once you plead not guilty. The prosecuter at our court is nicknamed is "Let 'em leave Steve" and every town I've gotten tickets in pretty much does the same. Just don't be complete asshole when you walk in, and talk to the guy like you have half a brain, and they will work with you. Also I know it sounds bad, but don't go in there apologizing your ass off or admitting your wrong either! Just be like "Ohh is there any way we could work this out", and "I don't want to have to go to trial("he doesn't either"). You really have nothing to lose, in the event he doesn't want to help you out you pay an extra $30 on top of your fine for court costs and that is it. This worked for me on all my first offenses, in most of the towns I've had problems in. For a second offense they are less likely to work with you, but I've still had a reasonable amount help me out. In NJ they are cracking down on this shit now though, they've like tripled the fines on all of the no points tickets, because that's what they used to get reduced to. But I think both of your tickets are no points anyway, my guess is they will probably drop one and give you the other if you don't fuck it up. Good luck

Hey, what's up? I have a set of LSR +2+1 arms, and they had the brass bushings in them. A couple of them were chewed up, and I needed to have the arms PCed, so I took everything out, and I ordered the plastic bushings from ModQuad. When I got everything I noticed the plastic bushings were way too big to fit in there. So I guess I need to buy the brass bushings, but they are like $40 for 6 of them, so I just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem, and I wanted to make sure that the brass bushings from ModQuad would definately fit. Thanks guys,
