  1. If I wanted to run a Lanyard in place of the key switch, could I just wire it up the same way it is now? In other words, is the lanyard a normally open(circuit broken to work) or normally closed(circuit completed to work) switch? I know the key switch is like the only normally closed switch on the bike.
  2. Cool, sounds good, I'm gonna run a tether switch too, but I like to have the push button kill on the bars. I don't know for sure, but I always heard it was bad for the bike to hook up a kill switch to the coil. DOn't know why, but I rmember a few people saying that.
  3. That's true, definately a warranty issue there. Also, what exactly have you done to the bike? I'm guessing it's not completely stock.
  4. Awesome man, thanks!
  5. If you do part that shee, can you save me the rear caliper, and I'll pay you whenever I stop down? Thanks dude, mine's busted to shit, I need a lot more then just the bolt. EDIT: I have a buddy who says he would be interested in the frame with the title, lemme know about that too if you do decide to whack her up.
  6. Was wondering if anyone here runs a simpler, dirt bike style kill switch on their shee. On the bike that I'm building I'm not going to have any lights on, and I wanted to do away with the bulky stock switch, but I still want a kill switch. On my YZ I like the switch a lot, it's small, and works really well. I know the banshee has a normally open kill switch, I'm not sure about different style bikes though. I was wondering if anyone here runs a kill switch out of a dirt bik,e or another quad, something cleaner that doesn't have all the shit for the lights on it. Thanks!
  7. Bump for ya John! Awesome guy to deal with, I like the low-ballers link. :yelrotflmao:
  8. Awesome, thanks dude, didn't want to drop the whole rear right before my trip, I'll just cut the stocker off, and throw this one on. The UPP ones shoor are expensive, hope they live up that $30 price tag.
  9. I wouldn't personally, but as you can see, plenty would. How much are you asking for it, you really shouldn't have a hard time selling it depending on your location though.
  10. Dude, no offense, but your into the wrong sport if you don't want to spend $50 and pull a head to see what's going on in your cylinders. You obviously have a problem if the two plugs are drastically different, no matter what anyone else says. Your gonna be in for a big surprise when you have an evern more serious problem because the dealer is gonna want a ton of cash to fix the bike, or your going to be looking at doing a good amount of work, more so then pulling a head. My advice, post some pictures of the plug, we can tell you where to go from there, but I would think your looking at either a carb problem(one might be leaner then the other), or else you have an air leak somewhere. Either way I think your in for some work, which won't be all that hard for anyone with moderate mechanical experience. It will also save you a ton of cash, and time in the future if you do it right now.
  11. Ok, I forget what it's called, but it's the round piece that goes over the swinger up front so the chain doesn't rub the swingarm. A while back I saw one that is longer, and can be taken on and off without dropping the swing arm. Can't remember who made it, or what it was called, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
  12. As far as engine goes, all years are the same, with the exception of very minor changes and the style of electrical connectors. If you have a set of or any in frame pipe, it will work with all years. Some pipes require removing the airbox, and other minor mods, but you would have to do that on all years too. Definately remember about the rejet too, you see a lot of questions about rejetting on here, and if you search around youll probably find someone with the exact same setup. EDIT: I've only ridden dunes once, but when I was out there I had FMFs, and I wasn't going to race anyone with a drag bike, but I had a lot of fun, you'll see alot of guys on here running a trail style ipe like FMF at the dunes, you could definately get away with the DMCs, your not going to have a shit ton of top end, but I had plenty of fun on my FMFs, and pretty much anything beats the stockers.
  13. I second that, I bought my set of MeltIce, and they were awesome on the first ride. You can always get a port job that will give you more power everywhere, there are a few builders that do "all around" ports. Your not going to win any GNCCs on it, but it's a friggen thrill to ride anywhere, you can definately build a bike thats going to be good in the dunes and trails.
  14. Cool man, good to know, I can't see shelling out big bucks for a billet stator cover, I spent less for a quick change clutch cover and it actually does something.
  15. Whats up? I was wondering if an RZ stator cover will fit on a banshee case. Also, they look like they're metal, I can pick up one for a good price, and I thought it would beat the stock cover if it was metal and would fit. Thanks,
  16. Wow dude, nice freakin' bike, wish I had the dough. Anyway, enough drooling, I had some PC done form these fellas, and the work was top notch, that must be one solid bike!
  17. Awesome dude, thanks for the lead, I'll be down there most likely sunday morning if that's cool with you, like before 8 or so. Nobody's on the turnpike then, so I can fly.
  18. Bought some front rotors off of him, very pleased, thanks dude!
  19. Coo man, thanks, I looked at the microfiche for like half hour to try and find it. Fricken weird.
  20. Got a rear caliper by any chance?
  21. Got 'em. Thanks though, I don't have a billet water pump cover, but if you wanna sell them or trade for any stock parts, hit me up, I could always use an extra set.
  22. Ok, I'm trying to put my rear caliper back together and I lost the bolt with an allen head on it. It's a piston like bolt that goes into the body of the caliper, and has a rubber sleeve around it. I can't seem to find it on any of the Ymaha parts diagrams, I'm thinking maybe they don't sell it by itself, but I wouldn't see why not, it came out fairly easily, and was definately not welded to the caliper or anything. If anybody has an extra, or knows where I could get one, ht me up. I can get a picture of the hole where it goes in my caliper if needed.
  23. DIRTFOOOOOT, its one of those "if you have to ask....."
  24. Yeah, they will, but why the fuck would you want to shorten the width?
