  1. Im surprised that noone has addressed this but it seems like it sits alot lower. Wont it bottom out on large jumps. I mean its for mx purposes and there are large jumps on alot of tracks. It seems to me that the bottom of the bike would hit the ground on those jumps.
  2. how do prices run for powdering all four rims? do u know?
  3. Well I dont know, thats what the gauge said. It runs fine to me besides the smoke.
  4. Well, it was tested hot so the readings were a little low, they both read out at 60lbs each. Yeah, good point. I have come up with that conclusion so thats what Im going to do. Im going to check the reeds cause I havent done that yet, but I guess Im going to have to get the carb sync tool if the reeds checkout. thanks THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO RESPONDED
  5. No, you can actually see it more clearly when Im going fast. You can clearly see blue smoke coming out, but only on the left side. I mean the right side does fire, the signs are everywhere(the pipes warm up on both side, I switchced the plug caps etc, etc.)but that right side just doesnt seem as strong as the left.
  6. Well I dont know what its is :: . I checked the carburators by eye( took the airfilter and looked through the intake). It looks fine to me, both slides look to be insync when I press the throttle and the idle srews are tuned the best they can get . I just cant see why the majority of the smoke comes out the left side, its really noticable when Im haulin @ss. And Im pretty sure both pistons are fireing as well because I switched the spark plug caps around and its the same. Is this just supposed to happen, Id like a miracle response If anybody has one.
  7. Ive had that in the back of my head but I really havent checked because I remember syncing all that as well as the air screws a while back but I guess Its time to check it again. Ill see if that might be the problem. Thanks.
  8. Yeah, I have that issue and the first time I saw it I thought the same thing, waste of freakin money . I mean damn, its "supposed" to be an atv, right but it doesnt look much like an all terrain vehicle to me. Its like trying to design an offroad 4x4 pinto, It makes no sense at all. things people do in the name of "fashion"
  9. Whats going on with the HQ? Well, anyways I finally checked the compression and both sides were near the same compression so I finally get to rule that out. So now what? Im not sure what could be the peoblem so if anybody could shed light on what I should do next I would appreciate it. Thanks
  10. Hell man, Id be pissed. If its not his he shouldnt have been ridin it like he stole it especially in front of your face but if hes a good friend I wouldnt try to make him feel too bad. Just from experiece, a good cousin of mine rode my bike once and when he was done he turned it off, when I went to ride it I turned it on and pressed the throttle and it started boggin like crazy. I spent 20 minutes riding it to try and figure out the problem all while my cousin watched. I got a little upset and he started to feel bad and he apologized when I left. Well, come to find out(thanks to the HQ) the parking brake switch on the handlebars was acting up, I just disconnected it and it rode like a champ, so it wasnt really his fault and I got a little mad at him for nothing and then I had to apologize. In your situation, if hes willing to pay half then you shouldnt push him because it could have been on the verge of failing before he even got on it. I mean it is a banshee and they are meant to be riden like crazy. later.
  11. Thats freakin bull man, I actually thought it was real, I spent a few minutes looking up a number that i didnt remember. Thats freakin disgusting, im scard for life now
  12. come on now, I need some help here  t
  13. Actually, now that you metion it, it use to idle at a good speed but lately it wont idle that great untill its been riden for a little while and its really warmed up. This is exactly the prognosis: It idles o.k., there are NO leaks because its stored on a tile floor so I would have noticed by now. I also noticed(which I cant believe I havent noticed before) that the side with the problem(near the engine), there is a sort of clik/sputtery type of noise that only that side makes. Its not really loud but then again it might be, I just thought thats what I was supposed to hear but again I only hear it on the one side. I need some good advice. thanks for all the replys.
  14. thats what I dont understand cause I took it to a mechanic and he said it would be better to test when it was cool.
  15. R u serious, man I hope its not low, thall be a pain in the @ss. Alright man, thanks. Are you sure I should warm it up or test it when its cold.
  16. Alright man thanks. I cant do it now, but what if it is compression and its too low, what would be the step to fix it. And on the contrary, what if its not, what else could be the peoblem. thanks again.
  17. I have seen a few threads about more smoke coming out of one pipe than the other but what Im having a problem with is not necesaraliy more smoke coming out of one pipe but more pressure as well a little more smoke. It seems like both pistons are fireing because it runs great but when I put my hand to feel the pressure coming out, the right side pressure is less than the left side. Im pretty sure its not the carbs either because I pulled them out to install V-forces a while back and they both looked clean and were jetted properly. I would appreciate all the help I can get. thanks.
  18. Huevos, hands down the best you can get. I dont really like the older ones but from 7 and up are good. I agree with Reball a little about the direction of the videos, they could do a little better but you also have to understand that the Huevos videos arent really high sellers like they should be. Supposedly they already spend around 100 grand to make them, thats why they are so expensive. If they were advertised and if more people bought them they could sell them cheaper as well as improve on production but unfortunatly they arent as renowned yet. YES, GOODBYE ROOKIE STATUS.
  19. You need to calm down. I dont understand why some people have problems with yfz's and raptors on the hq. I mean they are all yamahas, if we should be dissing anything it should be the other brands like suzuki, kawasaki etc.(ex. ford vs. chevy) but even then atving is its own community so nobody should diss anybody else. Now gloating is ok if you can back it up. At least thats my opinion but Its maybe because my family are a bunch of atv fanatics. Within my "extended" family we have 2 yfzs, a 660 and a 700(soon to have another cause we are going to get one), a banshee(mine of course), 2 raptor 80s, a 90 dirtbike and they are all YAMAHAS. So eat on that, Ill have to get a picture of all of us together.
  20. Again, just like Ive said about trans oil, "oil is oil". I dont believe in buying all that fancy oil that costs an arm and a leg, I mean paying close to 20 dollars for a small bottle of oil is rediculous when you can just buy yamalube(9 a quart). Not saying you have to buy Yamalube, but my point is that 2-stroke oil isnt going to add on performance no matter how much you pay for it or how special it says it is. An oil similar to yamalube will work just as good as any racing synthetic, it may smoke just a little more but if you want to help with that just buy a nology coil and hotwires, and youll save alot of money when you ride. I mean its bad enough gas is expensive so theres no need to make it worse buy using expensive oils if you dont have to. Unless you want to, then all power to you.
  21. Sounds like a good deal but its hard to say what you should pay without actually being able to look at it
  22. Thanks, yeah I found it, I probably should have tryed to find it before i asked because it was easier to find than I thought.
  23. myspace wheres the bansheehq group on myspace?
  24. This is the best advice your going to get. I think youll be fine down to 20cc domes but if you go any lower then take bansh-emans advice. you do know 22cc is stock?
