  1. Im starting to wonder why the heck there is one, I wish more people would get on it so that quick questions can be answered.
  2. What about just using the sealant spray(with no wrap) or maybe black hi temp paint?
  3. I used the chart on the nossmachine website, it says what domes give what compression at different altitudes. O, and I want to get a noss head, so Ill just get domes accordingly. At my elevation, I actually think Im at 112 to 118 psi right now which isnt good and thats why I want to change them. So I just want to go as high as I can so long as I can stay on pump premium gas.
  4. but if I i use the wrap sealant i dont think that will happen?
  5. My signiture says what I got. Im at the stock psi(130). I want to stay using pump premium so if I bump it up to 146(20cc at my elevation) will I see a descent hp gain (estimate please, I know everybody isnt a pro  so it will be fine as long as its somewhat accurate). O and I want to advance +4. Thanks.
  6. Anybody have there pipes wrapped with exhaust wrap? Does it improve hp?
  7. I ride in Mexico :yelrotflmao: so you dont have to worry about americas precious rules, and the reason I like to carry on a conversation is because I ride through town alot. The cops stop me but just to compliment  Thanks for the link and yea Im very familier with that method too. Will the 1 in wide even fit?
  8. I am looking to stay stock 350 but now that I know how cc's are configured then yea I guess that is what Im looking for. :shoothead:  I just thought that higher cc'd engines had much bigger pistons but now I see that its more than that.
  9. O ok, this is all new knowledge to me I always just thought that cc's was JUST the amount of space in the cylinder cases. So, I can put a big crank as long as I modify the crank case and use bigger carbs? Or am I still missing something?
  10. Im missing something here, I know your a legend but your going to have to level with me, I am pretty sure cc's(cubic centimeters) are the cylinder measurements, right? The crank case is below the cylinders so why would a bigger crank ad more cc's?
  11. Well, how big do you think I can go without modifying anything but the case. The reason I want to stay at 350cc is a bit of trickery, I guess you could say( a sleeper) I mean, I know I will need bigger carbs but I dont see why the pistons have to be larger.
  12. But what if you use something like 14 mm?
  13. Well, Ive always thought that when you use a larger crank, one rotation takes longer and the crank is heavier thus needing more fuel in order to power the piston enough to make the rotations easier and faster.
  14. I figured the connecting rods would have to be changed I just wanted to see if a stock 350 would be able to handle a larger crank as long as bigger carbs are used. Because me personally, Ive never believed in all that " my engine is bigger than yours" stuff, I believe more in revolutions.
  15. If larger carburators are used can a larger crank work with stock banshee pistons?
  16. I like a banshees' monsterous roar dont get me wrong but damn if it aint a pain in the ass to talk to a girl thats on with you. Is there any way to muffle all that pinging that goes on in the exhuast bodys or "fatty pipes" as some say (like sleeves etc. or something).
  17. Thanks man, I have heard this many times and thats what Im going to do, your comments have finally convinced me. I really do just want to stay with pump gas cause I like a ridable bike that I dont have to shell out tons of cash just to ride it. I just like to make sure that other people go +4 without a problem and it does seem like its a smart move, so thanks again
  18. Can an octane booster be used instead of buying race fuel in order to advance timeing? If so whats a good product to use?
  19. Yea, I guess your right. I do ride above sea level and sometimes in mountains and I never tought about compression in that aspect. That might actually help me cause that would make pump gas work better in higher elevation than at sea level, am I right?
  20. Well, what if I want to be really safe and just set it at +2. Will there be any significant difference or should I just put it at 4. thanks for everybody help.
  21. Well, why change something that has allways been good, I mean, if it aint broke dont fix it. When the Banshee came out there was one goal in mind, BAHA. And in case you dont know, which would be a shame, they dominated. The Banshee was built for speed and that has always been its concept. With the emergance of the raptor its sort of shifted to a beauty contest as well as convenience and thats why they have modified the raptor so much and if you realize, they only changed the motor(660 to 700) to make it sound better when you say it because its really no where near 700 cc's. I think with the new concept of looks and power its only a matter of time before yamaha comes out with something completely new.
  22. Exactly, well said. I just thinks its a matter of time and the technology is bound to cross over.
  23. I dont know why people are thinking that, yamaha knows that 2-strokes kick @ss and that alot of people believe in this philosophy. I can see them trying really hard to bring it back.
  24. Really, I didnt know that. Well, if I run 50/50 doesnt that mean I would definately need to change the head because it sounds like Id run the risk of damaging the motor. What timeing would I run with 50/50?
