  1. And what makes you think that ASR is shit. Have you ever ran them? Have any of your friends ever run them? Have ever had any personal experience at all with them? You can't always go off of what other people say. While this is a large forum, the amount of guys on here that say they are no good is probably barely a fraction of how many a-arm sets ASR sells.
  2. To remove the entire airbox you need to get two K&N pod filters that clamp directly to the carbs. I think most places sell them in a kit with outerwears specifically for the banshee. If you just want to remove the airbox lid you must get a pro-design pro-flo kit because the sthe stock filter is held on by the airbox lid.
  3. T5's all tha way. They sound way better than FMF's too.
  4. U will not be dissapointed with ASR arms and a good set of shocks.
  5. I put a spark plug and a crescent wrench in my camel pack along with a tow strap. Thats it. At home my dad has a HUGE MatCo tolls tool box. He has everything I would ever need to work on the shee or my truck. If he doesn't have it at home he brings it home from work, the city requires him to buy his own "normal" tools.
  6. I agree tha tnight riding is half the fun atthe dunes. At dumont halloween I went out there with a full tank and 15 gallons and went home reserve and three empty 5 gallon cans. That was two and a half days of riding. Friday, friday night, saturday, saturday night, and until about 2:00pm sunday. That is with just pipes and a single carb.
  7. I think your supposed to use like 30% of your travel for sag when you are sitting on the bike. That is how I have mine set-up and it works good everywhere .
  8. just go with what i said. That said has gane thru the whoops ant the way to comp at dumont 5th gear pinned. My bike has stock gearing so thats like what, 65?
  9. You'll like those a-arms. I have 'em and they work great. Happy b-day to both of you.
  10. I should have my cylinders back from F.A.S.T. buy then. I'll try and make it out there, it depends on parents. They may not want me to go, cuz as I said in another topic, they think everyone on the internet is a petofile.
  11. Get some +2+1 a-arm (American Star Racing, good prices and quality)s and shocks to match (TCS, elka, PEP, Custom Axis). Revalve the stock rear for your weight and style/skill level. Leave the stock axle, having the front-end a little wider than the rearhelps the handling a little bit more. Get this stuff done and your bike willhandle, ride, jump, and go through whoops A LOT better.
  12. If read that correctly you said one is for parts and the other is for riding. If so I would sell both sets of pipes and get T5's. If you are going have both of them in riding condition put the PC's on the one you are going to riding. I think the PC's are better, but someone will correct me if i'm wrong on this.
  13. My ASR's have performed awesome since the day i got 'em. They are +2+1 with caster and camber adjustability. The welds are nice, and there is no extra "slag" around the welds either. I have put a year of hardcore desert abuse on the arms and my TCS shocks and have not had one problem. When i tore my bike down after 6 months of having them I sandblasted off the spraypaint i put on them (bought em bare) and there were no cracks anywhere. And they've stayed straight. Ran it into a yukka (desert tree thing) and didn't bend anything. I like them and would definetely recomend them to anyone. EDIT: typos
  14. I wasted a STEEL primarydrive rear sprocket and chain in about 20 hours. Went and got JT steel sprockets and an RK 520sxo chain and have only had to adjust it once, and that was after the first ride which is to be expected. Been on there for approx 20 hours.
  15. no joke. it would take me two days of driving to get there anyways. I would have to miss an entire week of school. Damn, I really wanted to go to. oh well.
  16. Nevermind. My parents seem to think that every last one of you guys is a petofile(sp) :shoothead: . And god forbid i drive my truck for more than 100 miles at a time :verymad: . FUCK I hate some of the stuff about being 16 :verymad: . I love the free food and housing though  .
  17. what kind of riding do you do? tell me that and i can help a lot more.
  18. Do you guys already have your sites reserved. The 29th and 30th (of march) I got high school and there is NO way my parents are gonna let me ditch to go ridin.
  19. Start listening to Tom Leykis. I'm sure Polish will chime in on this and help me out. He'll teach you how to get mor ass then a toilet seat without being in a serious relationship. Works damn good and i'm in high school.
  20. ithink 150psi is the cut-off if you wanna run straight pump gas.
  21. Ya, thats the one, and the actual "face" faces kinda westish, it has flattened out a lot. You go can at least 10 bikes wide up it. and it is hella steep, 3rd gear most the way and 2nd for the last 75 feet or so with my bikes current setup on 8 paddle haulers. It'll pull 4th all the way up comp and the hill to the left of comp but not that one. Its an awesome place to ride, you should try to make it back out there sometime. EDIT: typos
  22. ya... now there is another one on the big face directly east of vendor row... and people are also starting to use parts of the face that is north of the whoops you take to get to comp. Comp and bansheehill aren't the only ones anymore cuz the base of the hills (where everyone lines up at) are starting to get rocky before you get into the whoops. and there are allkinds of hills out in the dunes, not saying there's a shit load of of people to race at all of 'em, just sayin that there are a lot of good hill climbs out there. And when one was the last time u were there, cuz it has changed a lot in the last 2 years.
  23. if the motor is gonnabe stock with just pipes and and pod filters you won't need an extended swinger.
  24. heres their site...clicky
  25. My TCS shocks work very well. They ride great and take the big hits pretty damn good.
