  1. Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'm gona switch back to the PC's. Maybe one day I'm gona sell them and get a set of T5's but not yet. Man, cant wait till summer to try it out with a fresh top end. Thanks again.
  2. Hello. Sorry to post this, but I have 2 banshees right now. Both are not in working order and it's winter. I got my cylinders bored 20 mils, shaved head, K&N with no air box cover and FMF reeds and cages. No porting done, yet. Now I used to ride a Banshee with PC's like 4 years ago and sold it, then bought one with SST's. I just bought one for parts that have PC's and I remember liking them very much but can't tell which one's were better. I found a website a long time ago that had dyno sheets of a bunch of pipes but lost it and don't know where to find it. If I remember correctly, the PC's have more power. Anyways, which one's give out the most HP in the top-end? Thanks.
  3. I run amsoil 100:1. Best oil their is. My father used it for a good 6 years when he was racing his improved Phazer on ice. Never once burnt a piston or stuck a ring. everytime he would take it apart, i would be amazed at how it was lubed.
  4. Sorry for interrupting, just didnt want to go and start a new thread for the same question. I'm also looking for some tires. I mostly drive on hard pack. I'm looking into Holeshot's and I'm wondering which ones would be best since i dont want something that's too hard and heavy yet wears good with decent grip for the hard pack. Thanks for any help. And feel free to tell me about different brands too since i dont know much in tires.
  5. What i mean is the lid keeps the flange sealed to the box. Is it safe to run just like that? Theres no way it can pop out when hitting bumps and stuff? I'm using a stock flange, i just cut out the ribs and put the K&N on. I also put the needle back to the middle and no changes... still did the same. EDIT: I took the lid off, and screwed the flange to the air box to be sure it doenst popout. That seems to have fixed my problem. It runs real well now. Last night I made a run and checked the plugs. Very nice orange-brown color and it was cool outside. I was also wondering if there's a dyno chart of the SST pipes as i would like to see the power curve. And also a very big thank you for your help Banshee~.
  6. My lid is on and like i said... its better with the clip at that spot. I'll try again to be sure. And how do you take of the lid? do you bolt the filter or you need a part to seal the filter?
  7. So i got a 2002 Banshee with SST Gold Series pipes, a White Brother boost bottle, FMF reed valves, shaved head, advanced the timing and a K&N filter. I put a 30 pilot jet, a 280 main and my needle clip is at the highest spot it can be(it's where it works the best).. That said i've got a nasty problem in the mid range. It sputters real bad at pretty much anything over 1/2 trottle then it's ok and revs well( it used to do it before i did the timing change). I've read around and no one seems to change the needle so I'm wondering if somewhere else there could be a problem or is it just mine that need this needle change. BTW. I'm at around 1000 ft.
