  1. Those look killer bro  . What are you doin to the motor and whos doin it?
  2. back off the preload on the springs, that'll bring your ride hieght down
  3. i have a 35mm single on my dune port and i don't feel it is big enough, it does run good but i sure it could be better with a bigger single or duals. But when I gussetted my frame, i put some tubes right in the way of where the air filters for a dual carb setup would go. So i'm gonna step it up to a 39mm single and see what happens, hopefully its enuf or i'm gonna have to hack on my frame so i can go back to duals. And i am not a really big fan of graphix kits, all of 'em just seem way over the top to me, so you're askin the wrong guy about the graphix .
  4. My dune port gets about an hour of run time in the dunes with the stock gas tank. I'd stick with your T5's, they'll match a dune port very nicely. If you want new pipes, CPI's are better for all-around riding, they have more midrange then the shearers (i think, someone correct me if i'm wrong). If you do get an aftermarket tank get a Clarke 5.5gallon, they look much better then the IMS, and i think they are on ebay for like $185.
  5. Well, when i talked to Jeff the first time he told me that he could tailor his mx port for midrange and topend instead of low and mid if i wanted to, but i went with the dune port instead. Just a thought. I really think a midrange-topend motor is gona be better for open fireroads.
  6. If you're doing mostly fireroad trails you're gonna want a port job tailored towards midrange and top-end power. Only get the MX port if the trails you ride are really tight or if you ride MX often. Even if your trails have some slower section a dune port would work a lot better on the fireroads. If like the powerband of your T5's a dune port would have a similar powerband, just a shit load more power. And definetely don't go with trinity. check out these three guys....I talked to all of 'em when i was gonna do mine and I ended up going with Jeff. But like 06Banshee said, jeff is swamped rite now. I'd give all three of 'em a call and see who you like best and go with them, trinity is way overprice and they're gonna tell you thier stageIV pipes work good on everthing from an MX port to a 421 cub. www.farmandsandtoys.com (Jeff) www.herrjugsracing.com www.passionracingengines.com
  7. Do a plug chop. That'll tell you if you need to change the mains. Where in Vegas do you live? I'm out in the northwest.
  8. Toomey T5's.
  9. Thats cool you like it bro. But the whole thing about the fat chick is different....way differrent.... :ninja:
  10. its normal to have to give a 2-stroke a little gas to get it to start.
  11. My t5's with clampon filters were a 280 main at 2500ft. So i'd say go a size or two smaller on the main. How many kicks does it take to start...should be less then 5, even when the motor is totally cold.
  12. So you'll be rite next to that rocky ass little hill then. Hopefully it won't be crowded cuz it can kind of impossible to find your own camp....lol. That and halloween just about made my arms falloff with all the chop. I'll talk to my parents and get bacj to you. One question, is it cool if i bum food and drink off you guys, kick you like 10 bucks, isn't exactly room for a cooler in my ranger once i stuff in gear, tools, gas and the shee....lol
  13. I will more than likely be at dumont on only saurday that weekend. Where are you guys gonna be camped at. Maybe someone from your camp can meet me at the ranger station or somethin, cuz as of now noone I know can go, and my parents aren't gonna let me go out there if I have noone to ride with.
  14. Good one...
  15. I'd say tell him you will not send the item(s) out until the check clears(usually takes 2-3 weeks). He prolly won't even respond...
  16. Just to clarify...the elkas are made of aluminum which is then hard anodized, therefore they cool better. And yes, the works shocks do have ride height adjustment.
  17. If they had their way, more than just riding would be illegal. They have tryed to ban HIKING and MOUNTAIN BIKING a couple of times down in SoCal. If they had their way, all OHV use would be banned, including on any kind of track. Fuckin liberal douche-bags
  18. #26,281
  19. Run the open toomey filter system. You'll prolly have to go up 2-3 sizes on the main. You just have to avoid large puddles, but its well worth the boost in power it provides IMO.
  20. First, send the crank out to get trued and welded. If you have the proper tools to do the porting i would say go for it with the racelogic templates, if not send the cylinders out too. Call Jeff at F.A.S.T. (785)364-5325, he'll get you a good setup. Get somepipestoo, T5's or fatties are good all-around pipes and ae fairly inexpensive.
  21. Ditto
  22. until somone keeps it realer....lol :yelrotflmao:
  23. Th decbil limit on the oregon coast is 93db, i was there summer '06 and they had hella checkpoints so make sure you're at 93db or below
  24. I'll try to be out there on saturday. Just for the day though. Is that a busy weekend or is it fairly mellow?
