  1. what do you me the "cut out should be towards the airbox". i was rejetting my shee today and i noticed theres really only one way for the slide to go in to the carbs because of a key in the bore. Is there a pic somewhere so i can see if mine is correct?
  2. Thanks everyone, ill file down alittle more on the carbs. Thats good to hear that its normal to add throttle when starting.
  3. Thanks guys. I have the stock pilots in there, what are they anyway? She will start after 2 kicks but i have to give a little throttle at the same time, is this normal or should it start without giving throttle? I did notice that i would get a back fire when i was trying to get it to idle, maybe thats because im to rich.
  4. Im pretty new to 2 strokes so i hope i can learn alot from this site. I have a 2000 shee with the TORS removed K&N with snorkle removed and FMF pipes. I went riding today 45 degrees about 2500ft i cant keep make it idle on its own. It runs great all through the gears but it stalls if i dont keep gassin her. I got it all stock a month ago, i cleaned out the carbs and put 280 mains in and changed out the needles with the FMF jet kit i bought. The plugs are black some what dry. I have the A/F screws half turn out. Its really hard to start without giving throttle at the same time, is this normal? I am thinking i have to grind the posts along side of the carbs down more so the idle screws go in to the slides more. Thanks!!
  5. Thanks guys, ill go lower on the main. The pilot is stock. I have to pick up a carb sinc tool.
  6. Hi everyone, i picked up a 2000 shee about a month ago. I bought it from the original owner, an older guy all stock, even had the original spark plugs in her. Anyway since the time i got it i put in new plugs FMF gold series pipes and a K&N with snorkle removed. I also picked up a FMF jet kit, and the TORS removal kit.. I took it out today on some family property for some bonding time. I removed the stock 200 main jets and added the 280's that came with my kit. I also have the A/F screw turned one half turn out. She runs very well it just wont idle. I dont know if i ground down the posts on the card enough for the idle screws or what. I also have a hell of a time starting her, its about 45 degrees here in PA It will start second kick if i give it aliitle throttle, is that normal? Thanks guys i hope to learn alot from this place.
