  1. Your gonna need to probably down size your bulbs to a 50w and a 75w. That thing will not be able to light two 100w bulbs unless ran at full peak rpm all the time. The lights will get much brighter sooner with lower watt bulbs. I have the same mods with addition to a rs flywheel, and the smaller 75w, and 50w bulbs and I bought a RS regulator to run on the bike. Typically no, the stock 16ga wire throught the switch wont like that kind of current going through the wiring either.
  2. Now my exhaust is a little more restricitve than twin pipes, but I have a 38 pilot with the air screw out 1.25 turns, a 190 main jet, and an eek needle in the leanest clip position. I am probably gonna try another needle too. I went from the dek to the eek and it ran better. I seriously doubt a twin pipe bike is gonna run that lean of a main jet though. Even the pilot seems awful big too.
  3. different springs and an easy pull perch and lever.
  4. The only real way to semi-permanently adhere rubber is to vulcanize it.
  5. 8mm thread size.
  6. Unless your full blown drag racing, with top end port job, and top end pipes, a 2 into 1 with a 35mm pwk will work. No one likes them on here, but then again very few people who have them go back to dual carbs. Most of the guys that say the single sucks, have never tried one. Most of them say I had a buddy who had one and I rode his bike and it sucked. The parts you bolt onto an engine, will determine how, when, and where it makes power.
  7. What???? I think thats way too lean.
  8. No its not too much carb. Where was your jetting at now (main, which needle, pilot, air screw)? I would assume you would be at around a 185 main, with eek needle in probably close to the leanest clip position. Then a 42 or 45 pilot jet with like 1-1.5 turns out on the air screw. Jet the main first, then do needle, then do pilot and air screw.
  9. Well I am a big promoter of the 2 into 1 setup with a pwk 35mm carb. About the only other thing I would recommend for that is a set of pwk 28's, or mikuni tm 28's.
  10. You just get maxima 927 in the 16oz bottles and dump one in a 5 gallon can of gas.
  11. Apparently they are a damn rattle trap, and in my opinion I think a 580cc twin rotax motor with a cvt clutch would be a better drag motor and a better trans type setup to use.
  12. Good Point, I have a round carrier.
  13. I had a stock line on my bike with a +6 swingarm and went with a +1 stainless line when I upgraded.
  14. what needle is in it?
  15. Ok, I have been reading last 3 different topic posts you have. We need to stop and set the jetting in order. You have to jet the main, then the needle, then you can worry about the pilot jet. So, what main is in it? Start with the needle (Dek or eek) in the middle position to be safe, and 48-50 pilot for starts with about 2.5 turns out on the air screw. Main jet is full throttle, needle is 1/8 or so to 7/8 throttle, and pilot is idle to 1/8 throttle. So set your main, then your needle, then worry about the pilot and air screw.
  16. No, needle is 1/4-almost 7/8 throttle. Everything bleeds through, but you probably need to adjust the needle. What clip position is it in?
  17. unplug it and bridge the connector together.
  18. I will ask again, where does it not run good? Example: Idle, 1/4 throttle. half throttle, etc........?
  19. Should be with your setup dek or eek needle, probably on one of the higher clip positons (leaner). Pilot around 38-42 with1-1.5 turns out on the air screw. 185-190 main jet.
  20. Where does it not run great when the pilot is screwed out?
  21. Stock carbs?
  22. They are! It shouldn't have taken your friends buddy from Yamaha who let you in on it. Its been a regular joke that dirtwheels pulls every year since about 1987 when it came out.
  23. what carb do you have? pwk 35mm? Usually the idle screw will have a spring or a jam nut, and the air screw is brass colored and recessed into the carb body.
  24. Thats the needle, you need to have an dek or eek needle in it with clip in about middle position to start. Also about a 185 main jet to start. I cannot stress the importance of checking your jets before you bolt a carburetor on. Not checking this stuff can lean out a motor and make it go boom!
  25. 19cc dome in a cool head at sea level should be about 170 psi compression with a stock bore and mild port job.
