I would not run royal purple. We had a few guys using it and had nothing but problems with their trannies slipping and even a clutch getting ate up bad and taking out a right side crank seal and crank bearing.
I will halfway agree with that.
The low end gains from a single carb to a good set of duals should be minimal and unoticeable. The duals will way outperform the single mid and top end though.
Porting or building a low-mid banshee is not a waste though. I have a bike that I can drag race against most ported 350's and even some strokers and either hang with them or beat them. However, I can leave the drag strip and run some idiot holes or ride some sand trails also. I have an extremely well running mid ported 350 that I would take over a topend oriented bike any day.
Why are you running a 12 tooth front sprocket, thats hard on chains and pretty much can ruin chain sliders. I run the same gearing ratio, but I run 14/46. 13/43 would also be the same.
I know pc's on a 4mill 396cc , ported 350, and 7 mil 460cc cheetah motor make more torque and hp than ptr mids, and a dynoport 2 into 1 on a crank dyno.
Do you guys realize that pumping the throttle without the bike running does absolutely nothing. Moving the throttle while your kicking also can confuse the fuck out of it. If its cold use the choke. If its warm then kick it or just crack the throttle and kick it. Other than that if it does not start somethings wrong.
the other problem could be the sleeve the needle on the slide runs into. If it wears out it can cause an issue, and the whole carb has to be replaced I believe.
Keep the pro circuits, sell the vf2's, sell the dynoport pipe, and get stock cages with carbon tech reeds. Run a set of 28mm flatslides or D slide carbs. I recomment the mikuni tm 28mm carbs.
Yeah, as in it was a ported Stage IV 350, we sold the cylinders and replaced the crank with a 4mill long rod hot rods setup. Then got a new set of cylinders and ported them.
Are your reed petals worn out?
I dont run a 2 into 1 carb anymore. My bike with the 28mm carbs makes way more power mid-top. The difference on the low end is only about .6hp for 1400 rpm. Which you shouldn't even be able to notice.
My cousins 4 mill was a trinity stage IV 350 back from about 1993-1998 it was a slow piece of shit then also. I used to wail on it with my JD Racing ported 350. Trinity has never done anything that has made me impressed. You should go to their site and read what they put on their engine package page for the banshee Stage IV kit. Its hilarious. "Built for no compromises, top-end drag racing. You can be confident knowing that there are no other 350 Banshees that can hang with your Stage IV." Fuckin please!
