  1. A 10-2- degree change in temp will not waarant going up 5 jet sizes. Maybe one size if your not lucky.
  2. Both of those I have owned, and neither was accurate. I would get a Snap-on, mac, Cornwell, or a KD tools tester.
  3. Why did you attach a picture of a banshee with a monster truck tire on it to this post?
  4. your compression should be at least 125 psi each cylinder.
  5. Do a search, its all on here.
  6. the seat isn't installed, the floats hung up, or the float arm is installed incorrectly.
  7. did you take anything else off besides the head?
  8. get a new 16 psi cap, fill the radiator to the fullest. Put the cap on and set the overflow resevoir to the low mark. Make sure the bike is cold when you do all this.
  9. never messed with one of those, dont know its like the rs unit or stock unit?
  10. Did you take the carbs off?
  11. I put one on the dyno. Saw 3hp out of it. As far as a difference riding, I did a dyna coil at the same time as the dyna box. I felt a difference, but couldn't tell ya which one it was that I could feel.
  12. That video was shot on the flats at the south end of the Florence Sand dunes in Oregon.

  14. The fact that thing has all that stuff with stock pipes is amazing. I would start with those, it will help you keep on the pipe easier and not get so tired trying to keep that thing revved up.
  15. I would get the 86.5 year prototype bike If I did it all over.
  16. You need to be running straight high octane at that compression with that much timing.
  17. Dont you think you answered your own question with this comment? You have to fix known issues before you can diagnose a problem that may be associated with what your worried about.
  18. It doesn't make since to do it with a head though. We can mill it, and get the squish and compression right, but I dont have a cnc or a lathe. I definitely dont see the need to recut my chambers to tighten the squish band up. Pro design got it close enough for me. I would rather just buy a cool head and slap it on. They already did all the work for me. As long as I have the right base gasket on my bike, the squish is good so no need to mess with it more than that. There isn't much to improve on with the cool head design. I know Bell said to spend the time just bringing up the motor to par, but slapping on a head does that for you as long as your cylinder deck heights are close. I can also buy pre cut stroker domes for $80 if I ever go to a 4 mill crank since I run the cool head.
  19. What compression, squish, and octane do you run? When we dyno ignition curves on a dynojet we watch hp and torque numbers on an acceleration run time, not overall power.
  20. Did you mean converted to DC? Where you at Coos bay on 4th of July weekend? You can run a stock stator on a dc conversion with a decent battery to run hid's. Where is your pickup gap set at? Did it run bad immediately after you changed everything around?
  21. HAs the bike ever been rebuilt? Whats the squish on it?
  22. Plug caps may cause issues with cutouts at upper throttle ranges. If your putting more timing in it you need to list your compression and octane for us to help. I run the dyna box on curve 3 with +5 degrees of timing added to the curve with the program kit. I saw a huge midrange difference on the dyno between the stock curve at +5 and curve 3 at +5. I would say your jetting may grossly be over in one direction, and the colder air is making it run worse because its on the edge of where it should be and running like shit. What are the plugs telling you in all this?
  23. I wear long underwear, a rash guard, lower face mask, long socks, riding pants, riding jersey, carhartt coat, and wind blocking gloves for cold weather.
  24. No, I work in Enumclaw. I dont work on quads for a living anymore. I worked in some jet ski and atv dealers when I was younger, and I was a service manager in Phoenix when I went to college. When I came home I worked for Audi for 8 years, then Saab for 1.5 years. Now I sell and deliver gun safes for a living. I Wrench on a fleet of about 13 banshees between all the people we go to the dunes with.
