  1. I think its that kickboxer guy kip that did the mtv true life show and has been in the ufc as well.
  2. I order the silencer cans and 2 sections of tube and the silencer flanges from Cascade. Then I bend the stinger tubes and weld them myself on the pro circuits. If you used the existing silencer tubes, you would have to bank on the fact that where they needed to be cut and welded, that the bend was right to go into the csfx silencer properly.
  3. The stock pipes have an extremely narrow power window and are restrictive.
  4. Im still weirded out about the arm.
  5. The standard banshee pc silencer is the tuned one. The arrestor model is the one you dont want. good Pic Bad pic
  6. You guys know that if you run fmf pipes, then the fmf silencer for that pipe is already going to be made to the correct tuned length right?
  7. That makes more sense.
  8. Im very confused right now. Anyone look at the fast link?
  9. I got a set of 65mm prox pistons with rings, pins and circlips that are at .99 right now on ebay.
  10. How tall are you? Do you have long arms? Do you have standard height foam in your seat? Do you have a stock length steering stem?
  11. A 2-1 exhaust will maintain peak rpm more easily than duals. However it carries the same redline as a good set of low-mid pipes and it wont make as much hp and torque as a good set of low-mid pipes.
  12. So here's the deal. The testing I did applies to banshees that are built for low-mid power. Your current setup with fatty's hardly makes it a trails or woods bike. The fatty with a stock port motor renders a redline of around 9,200-9,500 rpm range. My test results were done on a low-mid ported 350 with pro circuits. My redline is 8,700 rpm. Test results for an even higher revving motor would be an even bigger than a 4.75hp increase in topend. Topend is not 5th or 6th gear pinned. Its the high rpm of your motor in any gear period. I climb a lot of holes and ride a lot of trails with technical hill climbs out in the dunes of the Oregon coast. I have situations where I will take off from a 6 foot long strip of sand up a hill, dodge trees, climb over a log and manuever around corners. This demands a decent amount of low end power to get back on the throttle after maneuvering around an obstacle and having to let off. You can be on the topend in 1st gear, as well as in 6th gear. So yes this test applies even to you. It is very hard to convey to someone hp and torque numbers as they relate to the actual power a bike will make off the dyno. As well as what different gains in hp and torque will do off the dyno at a given throttle openings. I cannot convey enough that the rpm range this single setup makes power at is very minimal and minute. I would be very surprised if someone with a perfectly tuned set of duals switched to a perfectly tuned single setup and noticed a gain in low end power. I personally ran the single carb and a single pipe for 2 years before moving on to bigger and better power making parts. This is my opinion as you so eloquently put it. However, its an opinion based on some supporting facts as opposed to word of mouth or just someone else's opinion. People will tell you to stick to duals, but I can tell you why you should stick to duals. Your gonna see a bigger gain from getting a better set of low-end pipes and a cool head than you will from that single carb anyway. So focus your money and time towards something that will actually get you what you want power wise.
  13. ditto, or some carbon techs.
  14. Take a look. Will be putting more on over the next few days. http://motors.shop.ebay.com/merchant/snopczynski_racing
  15. There are tons of guys on here who can give jet specs on duals to get you within probably 1 size of being perfect. Theres only maybe 3 guys on here that get get you that close with a single carb. The bottom end gains are minimal, and I say un-noticeable. The the top end loss is not worth it. I spend less time messing with my TM 28mm Flatslide duals than I did messing with my single pwk 35.
  16. They made SA Pro silencers back in the day.
  17. Dan Wade from Patriot Racing taught me a trick. Use an older model honda thumb throttle.
  18. The 2 into 1 is a waste of money. Thats why we say dont do it.
  19. Sounds like every other banshee with a set of pipes.
  20. Use the search function. Its been covered about 6 billion times on here.
  21. I ran 32mm Lectrons on my play bike that I drag raced a bit.
  22. How long did you spend messing with the needle? Who gave you a starting point?
  23. All the testing we have done has indicated lectrons make more bottom end power and hold the same mid and top end power as anything else. I dont like them because they can be a bitch to adjust. Other than that its a kick as carburetor. I got my old ones from Dave Roberts at ILR Performance. He is the Lectron king.
  24. From Who? I did dyno testing last year and you lose almost 5 hp on the top end. You gain 1.2 hp from about 6,000-6,700 rpm on the bottom when switching to a single carb. That is a very small portion of the rpm range that is hardly gonna be noticable after a crack of the throttle. After 7,000 rpm, the duals pretty much opaque the power of a single carb everywhere. For those who dont know, the this rpm window down low is very miniscule and more than likely just about everyone who pays attention and trys to feel a difference, probably wont notice one bottom end wise.
