  1. awesome.. so the crossover is milled into the intakes... very nice.. whole project, bang for the buck?!! $160x2= $320 + billet intake, (as to not hit the clutch lever) = $130. Total to hide from the wife??? $450.00 - being able to hide the two seprate charges from my wife, hmmmm.. shes tricky!!! LOL Sooo.. $450 is it a great bang for the buck?
  2. well.. check my mods.. i am thinking 21cc domes would be safe all around.... everyone agree??
  3. cool... im seeing $350's for a set.. sound about right...
  4. would there be an issue with going with that size with my mods? will I be at the bottom of the aceptable range? any chance of doing harm?
  5. With my mods, what size carb can I upgrade to? I want to stay on pump gas and not lose reliability... Thanks!
  6. ok, but what does it change? does it effect how soon they open up? Thanks for the info!
  7. I have the Vforce II and was cleaning them and inspection the reeds. I noticed that the small metal plate the holds the outside reeds in place has HIGHon one side and LOW on the other. Which side am I supposed to have them on?? HIGH for the up side and LOW for the side facing down? Whats the difference??
  8. Thanks! That would be the lowest cc right?!
  9. maybe I worded the question wrong? Does anyone know what the smallest cc dome I can use but still run on pump gas?
  10. What dome size is comparable to having a stock head milled .004 ?? Is it 21 or 22? Thanks for the help..
  11. So I sent my stock head to get milled and when i got it back, there is a difference between the lips left on each side of the chamber. I may be wrong, but it should be the same all the way around right? There is no lip on one side, at the top of the chamber.??? This is a reputable shop, but i think they got it wrong this time.. Is there a chance that it could have been warped when I brought it in and thats why it is off? I partially melted a piston last time around and this is my rebuild.... thanks for the help..
  12. are those going on your bike or your daughters blaster?? Whatcha gonna do with the 450 set??
  13. Does anyone have a picture of how the vapor is attached to the handlebars without buying the extra case??
  14. I like the aftermarket clutch covers with the clear window.. Has anyone tried or is there a mod for cutting out a window from the stock cover? I would think it would be easy to do?! Just keep the screw hole and cut out the inside.... anyone?? Thoughts??
  15. I need a set of handle bars... aftermaket or not, also a stock radiator... still got any??
  16. Thanks for the info everyone... Im extremely busy and "need" to go out riding it asap... I have my new pistons arriving in a day or so, soooo.... I will wait until the end of the season to get it PC..... I just wanted to try out white on the frame to see how it looked... Thanks again all!!!
  17. Im gonna spray paint it white. I have used the airplaine stripper, sanded and cleaned the frame with paint thinner to remove any oils or residues from my hands... I have taken my time to apply a primer then a couple of coats of white high gloss paint. What is the best gloss to use for a final coat??
  18. hmmm.... great idea I think but the problem with LEDs is that they are suceptable to a shorter life if not kept cool.. LEDs need to be spaced apart far enough where the heat from the one is not felt by the one next to it. This dramatically reduces the life of the LED and its output will deminish over time. IMO it is better to get a light set up with halogen that the bulbs can be replaced.. unless the LEDs canbe replaced in this setup for cheap, I think its a bust! Also there is no focusing power with LEDs.... just my opinion.... Keep working on it... Id like to see a setup that can illuminate the underside of my quad like the big sand rails have, but with LEDs to keep the power consumption down...
  19. hmmmm.. I myself dont go for the head bangin stuff.. but it is better than country.... here is a taste of the beats that really get me going.. (this guy is really good in my opinion) its called "DUB" and is a mix of rap and drumb and bass. (also known as Jungle) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1WYpF475Kc this is a good one! here is another.. last one.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-qkKHM51x4 for me.. I love to give these a big pump up on my speakers to get a good jolt!!
  20. so on the wiseco site there is a long rod stroker kit and a long rod kit 5mm. Whats the difference? I think that going with the domes is the best also, does noss make these? And if they are only 2mm milled out, where does the other 2mm of room come from? do I need to mill out my case? Thanks for the info..
  21. sorry also a 4mm engine? Just curious..
  22. Can some one explain what this is and what is needed for this kit? Thanks!
  23. I would check to see if the line is clogged somewhere ? When you start out riding does it work properly for a bit then locks up?
  24. check your idle setting and the slides.. are they in ther right way? I had the idel too high and it wouldnt start at all after my rebuild.. there should be only a small (2-3mm) gap for air to enter the carb..
  25. hmmm I think the floats are ok cause gas jeeps flowing when I open the drain screw. My air screws are out 2.25 turns. FYI.
