how did you check to see if the pump is working right? I opened up my radiator cap, started it up and watched to see the coolant flowing.. is there another way?

ha ha!! I got one so I can sleep at night.. its like having a condom that you KNOW is not going to break!! LOL safe and sound before she decides to overheat and blowup!! Used it for the first time, heat started to creep up.. took 2 hours.. found that I have very small leaks in my radiator that is leaking coolant very slowly! $100?? yeah totally worth it!!

I set the psi at right under 15 psi. Still bubbles.. Ill post a pic of the pitts.. Looks like a cars metal bubbling under the paint from rust.. cap works right around 15psi also...

RADIATOR LEAK!! I found some small pitts on top and on the bottom that were wet. When I hooked my compressor up, there were tiny bubbles!! anyone got a used radiator they want to get rid of?

ok now I just realized I torqued the head bolts but did not re torque them after break in. Do the o rings shrink after heating for the first time? could this suck in a little bit of coolant? Also I thought I fouled a plug on the left side but when I switched the plugs from side to side, the problem followed the plug. Could this be a result of sucking in coolant?

yeah.. drain bolt is tight.. found that when I added it to fill her up..!! I dont hink it was an air pocket.. I ran it for a while and it stayed cool... then about an hour later it slowly creeped up..

so I rebuilt the top end and got a cool head.. I dont think it is leaking into the cylender cause I am not getting any moisture out of the pipes. it was running great and staying cool but slowly started to creep up in temp. I did not see any leak out the drain tube, but when I went to add coolant, it took about 3 cups! Any suggestions?

which radiator hose? between the head and radiatior or the pump and radiator?

well maybe my two cents, but I like mine clean... on the inside and out so I use degreaser to get rid of all that dust collecting grease and oil.... never wasted all that money on oil n lube n coolant stuff! Ive got 5 words for ya guy! "STEP AWAY FROM THE BIKE" LOL! gotta start somewhere!

well I do have stock suspension and only a swingarm skid plate but not a engine skid.. are there any trails? id be down for some long trail runs.....

I read a bunch that gave different methods but I wanted to know what the spec way to do it is? Go rich on the mix, etc....

yeah only 6lbs.. but I did not have any gasket on the boot side and as I pumped the ball... the air came out between the boots and reeds just as fast!!! Then I tried to make myself a set of gaskets, but I used the black paperlike gasket roll, which allows air to escape! So when I sprayed my water/soap mix I got alot of tiny bubbles... I put some sealant on it and now it is very air tight! Thanks a bunch!!

I just bought one... cant wait to get it since I bet I could have stopped my engine from over heating and blowing up on me!! Sounds like a good investment to me!! Are you guys running the 9V or off the stator?
