It all comes down to having the right setup.. I've beatin 10mil cubs with my 421 also.. but.. I know that once they get them tuned in and setup properly it wont be the same story. If a properly setup 4mil will run with or beat a 10mil cub.. what will a properly setup 10mil cub do? I guess cubs in general are kinda a waste then because I race with some stock cylinder bikes that beat me and the 10mil cubs all the time. It dont mean my motor is junk.. Just that their BIKE is in a better state of tune. Its a complete package that makes the bike fast. Not just the motor. The 10mil cub has the mechanical advantage over the 4mil cubs.. Thats just one part of the puzzle.. now its putting the rest of it together and getting that power to the ground.. The more power you got.. the harder it is to get it to the ground.
It was assumed that this guy only drag races when he was told to build a DM/Twister over the 10mil cub. He never stated what type of riding he does or intends on doing.
Yeah.. I agree with "bigger is better" theory... but.. I also agree with their being a learning curve.. I've seen too many people jump right into the deep end and get in over their heads. They spend all that money on the big motor and didn't know how to tune it or set it up properly. Then either the bike blows up, or they start getting beat by the smaller bikes and they get discouraged and get out of the sport all together.
