+4* on the plate made it even crisper with more power throughout the rev range. One thing is, the stock cylinders are lacking in top end. As far as stock intake w/cross-over tube to non cross-over billet intakes, I can't tell any difference whatsoever.

I just installed chariot reed cages and chariot's non cross-over billet intakes. I tuned them, sync'd them and I can't tell the difference. Thing flat out rips with no low speed, mid speed or high speed issues at all. Going to install chariot's billet timing plate and advance the timing to +4* tomorrow morning.

I put up a WTB ad. I'm going to go the welding route.

I just need the actual lever you kick. Let me know what you have.

After holding the kicker lever in my hand, it's definitely not cast iron, it has to be forged. It's not a matter of trusting the welds, I just don't want to cut and modify two kickers to make it work. I have two banshees, so one would be without a kicker and from my post above they're not cheap to replace.

Although I do have two buddies that are professional welders,I don't realy want to cut and weld. If it fails in the dunes and I do not have a spare kicker to revert back to stock, then my wekendis fubar. Yamaha doesn't sell just the kicker lever. Tthey want you to buy the whole assy for $113 at RMATV. eBay has them for +$80...

Haha, that's pretty funny... Of course I can. It sucks because you can't get a full kick when your foot lands on top of the peg. I'm going to get his done with before and after pics... Hella busy at work right now. I'll try and knock out a model of the new kicker at lunch today.

I just pulled my 87's kicker. I'm going to take it to work tomorrow to design a 2" longer one. Then go see my machinist buddy about milling a billet one after hours.

Good idea Starwriter, do you think that will hold? Should it be sleeved or dowel pinned together, then welded? Ultimately I'm going to have my machinist buddy mill one out of aluminum for me.

Ha, nice, why didn't I think of that? Do you have any suggestions on how to cut it and spice in an extension and make it sturdy enough to not break and leave me stranded?

I have a set of Raptror 660 IMS Foot Pegs that move the peg back ~2" and down ~1". If I'm not careful when I kick the bike over I crash my toe right into the foot peg... ouch! I know this is a longshot, but does anyone know if anyone has ever made a 1-2" longer kicker that fits onto the stock kicker base? Here's the left side with a -2" Pro Design Shifter.

I mostly ride Pismo and Sand Mountain. Winchester Bay is in the works as well, so tight tree shots. I don't trail ride at all and will probably just use the stk cyl 2002 banshee for that, if ever. Anyway, my 87 is going under the knife for a frame off resto. Motor - > 4mil Stk Cyl Hardcore MX Port 385 w/33mm Keihin PWK's and VF4's Clutch - > FAST HD Clutch and Springs Tires - > 20x10x8 8 paddle Extreme's I don't drag race much, but that seems like the thing to do, so I'd probably line my friends up at least... Anyway, give me some suggestions from the guys that have them. I'm thinking like a +3 or +4 Chromolly HD Gussetted Stellar.
